Re: Falcons pregame thread
we win this one close...a la the giants game. 33-32
but it doesnt mean anything as we make several players on a bad team look like superbowl contenders. i want to enjoy this one, cause its only like 1 of 4 this year. like seeing a rhino at the zoo.

Re: Falcons pregame thread
That looks right.. We always start slow on both sides. Last year, the defense always play better in the second half. Unfortunately, this isn't true for this year so far.

Re: Falcons pregame thread
Yeah you are correct on that, when we play top 10 QBs we get lit up.. And we have Brady , Rodgers , Dak , Mahomes all coming up lol. OUCH

This is a different Snyder problem I am referencing. Yes he is keeping quiet but He is the reason that Rivera is the best we can hope for and it is not good enough. My point is no hot coaching prospect or decorated coaching veteran is coming here and that is because of Snyder. |

Jesus Christ if that isn’t an indictment on preparedness I don’t know what is. It isn’t like we are a lesser team talent wise 80 percent of the time either. That is a fuckin joke. |

Ron didn't start Haskins because he was prepared and the best QB on the team last year, He started Haskins because that's Dans guy. Nothing has changed. Dan is still drafting the top 3 rounds. |

Re: Falcons pregame thread
People need to understand the Haskins pick just a couple years ago which was Snyder…our QB situation right now is a direct result of that decision.

Re: Falcons pregame thread
Every time he makes an executive decision it always has lasting repercussions. RG3, Haskins, they always come full circle and we end up getting screwed years down the road.

Yeah I left that out of my anti Snyder rant because it is done and we cant get a do over on that pick. Since that Snyder has definitely given Ron autonomy though, but it doesn’t matter. He has carved his reputation in stone and I just don’t see how we ever get a top flight staff in the door unless we burn it ALL down and turn every fuckin good player into high draft picks. You wind up with a slew of ones and twos and someone will want in. Either way we are fucked for the foreseeable future. |

Re: Falcons pregame thread
John Keim
@john_keim · Sep 27 Curtis Samuel is eligible to come off IR this week... Rivera said, "We'll see how it goes Wednesday. Our offensive coaches are fired up to see where he is. If he has a good day Wednesday, we'll progress and go forward." Key will be how his groin responds to any work. As you know ---- Terry and Thoms need some help. Humphries just isnt being targeted (is he not winning his routes or just overlooked?) and rookie Brown hasnt clicked yet. Sims is best as a no. 4, spot duty starter if needed bc of injury. |
