LOL, the life of the fan in a nutshell. Spend 349 days building up your expectations so that on the other 16 days you can knock them down like a toddler with a tower of blocks.

Re: Playoff picture
I feel like most of our losses we do just enough to remain in it at the end, but we can never take or keep the lead. You're right, we will have one or two upsets, which is just enough to keep our hopes up until they get mercilessly crushed at the end.

Re: Playoff picture
We need to win 6 of the last 7. No bueno.
If we beat the Saints, its kinda like playing with house money bc we should be favored to win the last 6. Playoff guess -- 15% if we beat the Saints, 7% if we lose to Saints.

Re: Playoff picture
We ain't making the playoffs, even if we beat new Orleans which probably isn't gonna happen.

If we somehow beat New Orleans, then we're back in it. The problem is there is gonna be very, little room for error. There is still a chance the last wildcard spot could go to a 9-7 squad. But, to be on the safe side, a team may need to be 10-6. |

Re: Playoff picture
We’re too inconsistent and too banged up. Unless something changes really quick we’re probably looking at 8-8 at best.

Re: Playoff picture
If we beat NO (again probably not gonna happen) then we could go 9-7, we have NY twice, AZ, Denver and Dallas . I still think we have to go 10-6 to even have a shot. We need Atlanta and Carolina to start losing ASAP

Re: Playoff picture
The fucking Saints just won 7 in a row ... dont close the door on 6 out of 7 just yet yall. Imagine that message board after starting 0-2. Brees is done, fire Payton, etc ...
But Im not even sure 10-6 will get you in. Lots of games to be played, but this is crazy. Eagles (8-1) Rams (7-2) Vikings (7-2) Saints (7-2) ----------------------- Panthers (7-3) Seahawks (6-3) Cowboys (5-4) Lions (5-4) Packers (5-4) Falcons (5-4) How are there this many wins in the NFC? The math doesnt add up. 10 teams with winning records in the 16 team NFC? There are 6 teams with winning records in the AFC. I think 11-5 is needed for an NFC wildcard ... wow. edit -- we need to win the last 7 to make it.

Re: Playoff picture
Exactly, under Gruden's watch the Redskins throw in at least 2 games a year where they lay an egg in a game where an easy win was expected, those are probably still on the horizon.

Re: Playoff picture
The only playoff picture I'm thinking about is what couch/bar stool will I be watching other teams playoff games. If TNT did football we'd be gone fishin'.
