Joe's staff definitely excelled at halftime adjustments (except against Parcells).

But I think what made Gibbs truly special was that he had a great staff that truly loved working with him.

I always felt like nobody was trying to steal any glory from Joe and that he used every opportunity to pass the credit off to his players and coaches.

Very admirable in a leader.

You and I know that. But when you hear about the greatest coaches in NFL, past and present, Gibbs always seems to take a backseat to coaches like Belichick, Lombardi, Knoll, or Walsh.

When you ask NFL fans who the team of the 80's was, almost everyone says the 49ers. Nobody seems to remember how successful the Redskins were during that decade.

Belichick is a great coach. No question about it. His best coaching job I think was his 2001 team. But let's be honest, they never in a million years knew Brady would become the great QB that he is today. They've been riding that now for the past 15 years or so.

What Gibbs did, winning it with three different guys... and none will sniff the HOF, that will never ever be done in the NFL again. Ever. Walsh, Belichick, Knoll, Johnson and Switzer...all the so called dynasty teams won it w/ one guy under center. Not Gibbs.

Johnny Manziel's dad says quarterback has refused to enter rehab, needs help

It's sad when a story goes from "he's wasting his talent" to "his life may be in danger because of his own poor choices." Hope he gets the help he needs, everybody loves a good redemption story.

Manziel has pretty much thrown his career away. He simply can't be trusted to be the face of a franchise. If he played another position he'd have a chance. Now he can be a professional club rat the rest of his life, cause he certainly won't be in the NFL. He's following right in Ryan Leaf's footsteps.

And if people don't think Gibbs is great, how about his success in NASCAR? The man is a winner, if he had a QB like Montana and Brady when he coached, he would be considered the best ever, which he is to me.

I'm just curious to know why he was a "we need to get him off this roster ASAP" cut. You don't typically see a lot of players released the day after the Super Bowl.

Johnny Manziel's strike ruptured ex-girlfriend's eardrum, her lawyer says

If this is true Manziel's fall from grace should be nearing completion. Hope this chick's hearing recovers.

I was hoping Johnny Football would hold off on his implosion until AFTER the Cowboys signed him. <sigh> Oh well!

Johnny Manziel 'hung over' at meeting; Cleveland Browns say QB had concussion

Manziel continues writing the handbook on how not to act like a competent NFL player.

Re: NFL things and stuff.....

well, maybe he's trying to become the biggest bust of all time. if that's the case, he's doing a damn fine job.

don't you guys see, he's striving to be the best, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to get there. he's like, the micheal jordan of incompetence.
