Yes it will. We should have a couple days more prep time than Philly.

Re: Looking ahead to the Eagles

Assuming it gets played, this game will be similar to the Giants game. Philly has allowed only 3.1 yards per carry. The Giants had allowed only 3 yards per carry coming into that game. Defense has to keep the Eagles from jumping ahead early and forcing the Redskins to throw 50 times. If the weather is a factor, the Eagles will probably win. Cousins battles the weather and has a rough day but the defense keeps us in the hunt.

Eagles 23 - 13 Redskins

KC goes 17-29, 165 Yards, 0TD 2INT
Alf/MoJo combine for 95 yards, 1TD

For the record.. QB's with a worse INT % than Cousins this year:

Tyrod Taylor
Matthew Stafford
Philip Rivers
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Jay Cutler
Colin Kaepernick
Andrew Luck

I hear what you are saying, and perhaps that is the label he will carry for a while. However, if this team is going to get better, they will have to remove that label and allow him to execute the offensive playbook - the whole playbook - and not put limitations on him. You have to take what the defense gives you and if a defense is giving you the passing game, then that is what you exploit. When they back off, you pound them with the running game. You can't be one dimensional and win in this league. I don't care how good your defense is, and this one isn't good enough to even try that. No doubt they are better, but with all the injuries and the modest pass rush, teams are going to score points on them.

If we have a 'game manager', all we are going to do is manage to lose more often than not.

All the reports say Long has a leg up on ArieK, but they are looking at both.

EDIT:

Sorry, responded to LG.

But 'game manager' label can only be changed on the field. Kirk has to remove that label with his play. And to me there is nothing wrong with being a "game manager". Take the plays that are there and don't turn the ball over.

I think asking/game planning for any player to do more then they can currently handle is setting them and the team up to fail. Gameplanning for Kirk to carry the offense on his arm imo is a mistake.

Kirk might become more then a game manager but right now, imo the best bet is to build our offense around our strength...the running game. Allow the passing game to be a complement to the run game not be the focal point of the offense. I don't think we can't establish an identity as a run team, which appears to be Scott's goal, with the playcalling from the Giants game.

Re: Looking ahead to the Eagles

I actually wouldnt mind pushing this game back. You never know what can happen in the future, injuries etc but ...

that would give D Jax, Hall and Riley time to heal up.

Playing games wout Desean is hurting us in many ways imo.

I'm not a fan of moving the game but one way or another it will be played.

Re: Looking ahead to the Eagles

Redskins coach Jay Gruden said he's hopeful that Chris Culliver will play Sunday after missing the past two days of practice with a leg injury. "We are confident he'll feel better tomorrow," Gruden said.

- John Keim

that sucks. we will need all hands on deck come sunday.

Really? You must see more in him than I have. I'm not impressed so far.

I agree with 30.

What don't you like?

He has been our best corner by far. Hasn't missed many tackles and it seems like the opposing QBs have avoided him.

He might not be elite but he is by far the best we have.

Our other CBs aren't even close to him to be candid.

When we have the depth that we currently have, and a legit starter goes out, it's a huge deal.
