Re: Redskins Sign Colt McCoy
Everyone please keep in mind that all but one of Cousins starts were with a team that had given up on the season and their head coach. His stats mean nothing.
Whether you're a fan of Cousins or not, you cannot fairly judge him by stats.

But since stats are not your thing, let's go with the eyeball test: for us and going back to Michigan State, Cousins has a long-term habit of sometimes making very poor decisions which result in turnovers. Further, he also is not always accurate and has a long-term habit of errant passes being intercepted. Many people have stronger arms and many people are more accurate. And none of this has to do with a team giving up. I'm with That Guy. I'm fine if we keep him because he is a decent backup. But many people are decent backups, so the wiser course is through trade to turn him into a player who will see the field.

Re: Redskins Sign Colt McCoy
I've always been a fan of Colt. I thought he got a raw deal in Cleveland., I would actually prefer that he was our #2 instead of Kirk. IMO, Kirk is getting traded.

Re: Redskins Sign Colt McCoy
Looking at possible Kirk Cousins trade partners: When you talk about this you have to talk about the teams who will possibly draft a QB in the first round: Texans, Cleveland , Jags, and Minny. I think the Raiders could make the mistake of drafting Carr first round too. 3 QBs for 4 teams.
Also you got to look at other teams who may want competition at the QB spot: the Titans, Rams, Bills Any others? In looking at all this, at the Browns I dont think Kyle Shanny was a big fan of Cousins, Im thinking Manziel as a possibilty. Texans probably leaning toward Bortles. Minny im giving Bridgewater. And the Jags are going with Clowney. The Raiders either take Carr in the top ten (huge mistake) or are the trade partner to move up to our pick at 34 to take him. The Titans with a new regime could go QB at 11. Alot to think about, but there are some options for trade partners

Re: Redskins Sign Colt McCoy
This is a just in case signing. No way he's suiting up, unless Cousins gets traded in the draft. Or God forbid Griffin blows his knee out for a 3rd time.

Re: Redskins Sign Colt McCoy
I think signing Colt McCoy was a good move.....he has more starting experience than Kirk Cousins.....it's the GM's job to make sure every position on the team has solid depth......take into account that Cousins didn't play well enough to get warrant a second round pick.......no one can say that Cousins is better than McCoy....
