This quote should answer the question about Bruce Allen:

“We are going to take a smart, step-by-step approach to finding the right coach to return the Redskins to where we believe we should be,” General Manager Bruce Allen said in the same statement. “We will analyze accurately and honestly all of the decisions that were made over the past year.”

Now to the issue of who will fill Shanahan's empty chair. We desperately need, for once, to make a smart HC choice.

Bruce Allen is meeting with staff 1 on 1.

I hope they keep Bobby Turner and Sean McVay

This all day. The FO Structure of a separate GM and Head Coach needs to be propped up and utilized in the next regime.

The next few days of sports talk in the DC area will be stellar to listen to.

A high level source tells @ESPNRadio980 "not yet" on if the coaching staff has been fired #Redskins

Multiple players have told @ESPNRadio980 that Kyle Shanahan, QB coach Matt LaFleur and DC Jim Haslett have been let go. Others in limbo

Absolutely. MS was the established pro coach the team thought it needed after the Zorn mess. Unfortunately the owner is still involved in draft decisions and being players buddies. Until that changes this team will continue to be a joke.

Re: It's official: Shanahan fired

Who is the weakest NFL head coach still employed at the moment? Schiano? Garrett? Seems like the NFL has done a leaguewide purge of the my-way loser coaches. Redskins finally decided to join the party today.

Re: It's official: Shanahan fired

Well, back to square one now. Oh well. As far as the assistant coaches go, doesn't matter who we keep for now or who we let go, I expect the new coach will make final decisions as to who is on his staff.

I'm glad to see Danny eating that last 7 million dollars. How long til the Shanahan apologists come trolling in and start blaming Snyder for being an awful owner?

He hasn't always made the best decisions but dude wants to win, period.
