Re: On the Hole(s)...
Sorry, I was re-reading that and completely misunderstood the question.

Re: On the Hole(s)...
No doubt about it. One of the top three WRs (whichever ones you choose) will be available at #9. Besides TO, name another WR on the Eagles roster not wearing a clown suit. Oh yeah, PHI's five day one picks didn't even include the latest reward of compensatory picks.

Not that I truly garnered any respect with my heavy-drinkin', alcohol fueled, St. Patrick's Day posts...

I know the kid is a player but I am not a proponate of drafting LB's that early unless Lawerence Taylor is avail. especially with Williams at the helm you need athletes there but you don't need superstar's, DJ is not really an inside guy and probably moving him inside would limit his abilities some, we just signed Clemon's who probably is as fast if not faster than DJ so I wouldn't be picking a LB in the first rd, but I would be looking for a MLB later in the draft. My draft strategy would be to trade down a few spot's if possible and draft Rolle I think he will still be avail. around 15 or so, then do what I have to do to make sure I get Vincent Jackson in the second, I still feel we need a real #1 possession type reciever and I think this kid will be it, so much so that I am willing to let William's go if he's avail. when we pick, this strategy will net us 2 player's instead of 1 and fill 2 need's and save us some much needed cap room. Besides Daseal what would we do with big time Lavar if we drafted DJ? |

I don't see him falling to the 4th but you may be right about him in the early 2nd I just want to know we get him, the reason I like him and I know I am going out on a limb here but I think he just may be better than Williams, I saw their combines and Jackson is a better athlete than Williams, he's bigger and faster, his hand's are probably not quite as good as Williams but he does have good hand's [Williams hand's are phenomal] that's why I want him, I don't care where we draft him at so long as we get him after the 1st rd which will net us Rolle. |

Re: On the Hole(s)...
Offiss - DJ is probably the best athlete in the draft, if he were available I'd think about taking him, but problem is we have other gaps to fill with people that could be great too. I doubt DJ drops past MN anyways, but I believe with our wealth of LBs that he would be a waste. We could trade M Washington, but not worth it for a rookie. I agree he won't be near as good inside as outside. If we really need an MLB - if we have another losing season we could land the kid from UVA.
As far as Jackson - this is the Northern Colorodo kid? (Colorodo is a funny word) If so what kind of DBs did he go against. Not saying he couldn't be great, but I doubt he's a replacement for Mike Williams. Same thing with that Alabama QB turned WR. He's a great athelete, but I think he may ultimately WANT to be a QB kinda like that Crouch guy. Though I wouldn't be against the Northern Colorodo guy, I'd rather have Edwards or Williams by a long shot! |

Re: On the Hole(s)...
did everyone here forget about troy williamson at the #9 if edwards (who im not sold on) and williams are gone. Our defense was #3 last year without arguably one of the biggest playmakers in the leauge (LaVar) i say focus on what was bad last year and that is offense pure and simple.
