Re: Skins cowboys postgame
I think RG3's magic and hype is starting to quickly fizzle away. He can't manage the clock. He's holding on to the ball too long. He stares down his first read (and Cowboys said this to Al and Cris during the broadcast meeting) too often. He seldomly looks to his 3rd read. He doesn't know how to make line protections. He's over throwing wide open WRs. He went from being great at not turning the ball over to a problem.
I'm really starting to question if he can run a basic NFL offense, and not this gimmicky college crap with 4 people in the backfield with him. You look at QBs in the league that are considered very good to great, and they can win with below average OLines. RG3 even has the mobility thing going for him (he looked near 100% tonight so I don't want to hear about his knee) too which helps make OLines look good. Well, tonight 2nd and 3rd stringers didn't care, they went right through our OL and right for Robert whose there dancing looking at 1 WR the whole time. Our OL made Hatcher look like Geno Atkins, Kyle Wilbur look like Umenyiora and Robert made Carr look like Richard Sherman. Our special teams was horrible and clearly something is wrong with them if the Cowboys all knew they would have a big advantage over us there. Mike or Kyle, one of them, needs to go, as well as Haslett and Orakpo. I'm tired of Orakpo getting held, but at the same time, why do all refs not call it? Maybe because Orakpo's one pass rushing move is making it look like he's being held. I agree with who ever said we should get Greg Roman. Another name I'll throw out there, is Art Briles, since he clearly knows how to get the best out of Robert.

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
Wow, Shannahan is 8-4 in his last 12 games, including a division title, playoff berth and a 7 game winning streak. NFL levies huge fines against the team making them non players in Free Agency. Draft picks started on the third day of the draft. So the coach essentially had to go in to this season with the same personnel.
And why is everyone wanting to get rid of him? His legs were cut out from under him when the team got hit with those cap penalties. |

That's one narrow minded way to look at it

Bruce Allen, like most people in the organization and around the league, love Rhaeem. Bruce Allen would stand on the table to fight for Raheem long before Mike would stand on the table for Kyle. And that's not meant to be an indictment of Mike and Kyle, I'm just illustrating how much Allen likes Raheem.

Which you should be very happy about, btw. We are all happy Jason Garrett is still your coach. It's kind of like that.

So obviously the philosophical differences between mike and kyle are taking their toll on the team. If the players love playing for Mike, it certainly doesn't seem that way with the production on the field. So the bottom line is this. Who does RGIII favor in this battle between the Shanahans? Kyle's approach or Mike's? My guess is Kyle seeing as how RGIII has sort of hung Mike out to dry in press conferences before.

Tonight, I just don't understand why people are bitching about the defense. What did Dez Bryant do? How many yards did Dallas have? To me the defense is getting better and the offense is getting worse.

Re: Skins cowboys postgame
This is true, but its also an observation based entirely on one game. And Haslett usually throttles Dallas' offense. That's never been the issue.

I'm just thinking about what he was left with after Zorn and Cerrato. And what he has done with that with such limited resources. Not saying he is Lombardi reborn, but I just think it's a little early to be calling for his head.

2.) Stingy ownership in Tampa hurt him 3) A rookie GM and a rookie HC forced to let a lot of veteran leadership go hurt him in Tampa 4) Like I said, I think he deserves a 2nd chance. Just not sure it should be here. This is not an easy place to be a HC

The roster Shanahan turns over to the next coach isn't going to be any different than the one he received from the previous admin. It's still going to be old and somewhat talent deficient. Whoever takes over is going to need to get to work ASAP developing Robert Griffin into a top flight passer. He's still crazy young, but won't be forever.
