Re: Field Condition
I wouldn't be surprised, I heard once that DC was built on swampland. Obviously Fedex Field isn't considered DC but it's close enough that it could be swampland.

Re: Field Condition
The field at RFK was no picnic either. By the end of the year it was just spray painted dirt.

Re: Field Condition
had to laugh at this "comparison", probably could have mentioned that one if artificial...
Side-by-side photo of fields, 30 miles apart, both outdoors, ... on Twitpic

The Ravens don't play on grass? I thought they did.

Re: Field Condition
No doubt, the 82 and 91 Championship games were played in slop.

I have walked on it pretty nice stuff. Feels like grass to your footsteps but if you rub your hand across it you definitely know it is fake.

Re: Field Condition
The field needs to be changed. Unacceptable Snyder. You have the money to fix it; FIX IT.

Re: Field Condition
It's not even even all that expensive anymore. It used to costs millions. Now I think there are companies that do it for a mil or less.

Just agreeing with all of you...FedEx needs FieldTurf. The field at FedEx has been a mess since the stadium opened.
I do agree that the field at RFK was not great either, but it was not as bad as the field FedEx. As ya all have said, Dan Snyder needs to shell out the bucks for a new field.

Re: Field Condition
The field is a dangerous embarrassment. It looked like the Gotham Stadium field AFTER Bane blew it up. It is totally unacceptable and if that is the best they can do, it's time to call the people at FieldTurf or maybe install that hybrid turf they have at Lambeau and Lincoln Financial.
