Re: Relatives that played in the NFL

no relations that i know of. just my claim to fame of breaking tanard jackson's leg. he was the opposition's offense, i broke his leg right around halftime and we overcame a 2 td deficit to go on and win the (state championship) game. i felt terrible and even more terrible when my teammates continued to pat me on the back.

I thought you were in a horrible car accident about a year ago and your future in football was questionable? Have you recovered that quickly? Bravo, Colt. You'll never see any PT behind Brady but being a backup qb in the NFL is no laughing matter either.

Re: Relatives that played in the NFL

My great grandfather, Fred Chicken, played in what is now the NFL. Here's a little wikipedia info on him. Could probably get more from my grandmother:

Quote:
Fred S. Chicken was a professional football player who spent one season in the early National Football League, then called the American Professional Football Association, with the Rock Island Independents. However he also played for the Minneapolis Marines (1915-1918), prior to that team's entry into the NFL. He was the star halfback of the 1907 undefeated and unscored upon Minneapolis North High School National Football Champions of the US. They had defeated the Oak Park, Illinois football team, another undefeated and unscored upon team, to claim that title.

Re: Relatives that played in the NFL

After playing at Pitt, yeah it was "Pitt" back then, my 2nd cousin was drafted in the first round by the Chicago Bears. In just his 2nd year in the league he was fortunate enough to do the Super Bowl Shuffle protecting McMahon's blind side in SBXX.

Pitt as in the University of Pittsburgh? If so, when has it never been Pitt?
