Re: The Sky is NOT Falling!
No doubt about it, this team has greatly improved from a year ago, and eventually, everybody will stand up and start to take notice. but, the 'skins still have a ways to go and pieces that still need finding. The sky is definitely not falling, but this team is more than good enough (IMHO) to win games that they should be able to win (such as last night's game.)
I look at it like this: any of our opponents that are 8-8 and below should all be opponents that the Redskins beat - no excuses! It's those teams that are consistent playoff and Super Bowl caliber teams (such as the New England Patriots) that this team should measure their progress by.

Re: The Sky is NOT Falling!
This one is completely on the play calling. 100 percent. We played exactly to our talent level last night and it's the coaches job to play to those strengths and weaknesses too. Ware's gonna beat Brown, Hall can't cover Bryant 1 on 1, Rex is gonna do stupid stuff randomly. These are the facts. SO DONT CALL PLAYS LIKE THEYRE NOT, KYLE!!! Anyone that says Brown should do a better job against Ware should be banned for life from this forum. He is not capable of doing a better job, ever, under any circumstance, just understand that. So you call plays knowing he's coming, not how things should go in a perfect world. Insanity is thinking a mediocre player is going to not play mediocre football.

What I'm seeing is the Skins trying to replicate what the Patriots are doing with 2 or 3 TE's in a game. |

Re: The Sky is NOT Falling!
yes, a lot of last nights plays were WTF moments.
Especially Cooleys second running play. Dallas saw that coming a mile away.

Re: The Sky is NOT Falling!
Thats where I started shaking my head and never stopped from that point on. Hightower, Helu, Torain should be the only people touching the ball. That was a unnecessary playcall and a complete waste of a down.

Re: The Sky is NOT Falling!
Boy, it seems like we need one of these threads every single year. With that said, I agree. We're 2-1, we're definitely better than last year, and we need to keep working harder to fix our mistakes. We've got a good opportunity next week with the Rams, although it does suck that S.Jax will be back, as he always has good games against us, but there's a lot to be happy about and a lot to improve on.

LOL, Romo is so the better QB, soo the god of QB's.....
Romo stats last night: 22/36- CP/AT 255- YRDS 0- TD'S 1- INT Grossman stats last night: 22/37- CP/AT 250- YRDS 1- TD 1- INT Are we sure we are not being just the slightes biased against Grossman when his stats are just as good if not better then QB's of their opponants? |

Broken Ribs: Romo: 1 Grossman: 0 Willpower: Romo: 9,210,422 Grossman: 24.3 Also, Grossman is officially credited with 1 fumble and 1 lost, where as Romo is credited with one fumble, none lost and FOUR recovered. And the poor center gets 3 fumbles hung on him. (Bet Jerrah cuts the kid this week?)

Re: The Sky is NOT Falling!
^ Yeah but did Romo stay at a Holiday Inn Express the night before?
JK. I'll say again, no way Romo had a punctured lung. No way. Call a doctor, bring them in, have them tell us all that yes Romo could have healed up in 3-4 days. No way. I don't doubt he probably doesn't have a bruised or slightly broken rib, but punctured lung and played.... no. |
