When you're suspended, they ask for your keys and bann you from the building.

Re: Big Al suspended for the remainder of season

I hope we don't cut or trade him. I hope we keep him on the roster and work him to death doing anything the hell we feel like unless he's willing to quit and agree to give the money back. I'd make him carry water buckets and the equipment for guys on the D-line. I'd make him swap out the urinal cakes at FedEx field. I'd make him work as a parking lot attendant before the game starts, so he can incur the wrath of the fans directly. In other words, I say we torture the fat bastard and send a message to the world about these overpaid, self-aggrandizing, whiney divas. That would be worth a slot on our 53-man roster. Not only that, it would help bond the team -- it's easier to unite in the face of an enemy.

Who's with me?

(Ok, Ok - I know we can't do it, but wouldn't it be great?)

I love that Shanny is laying the smack down. Culture needed to be changed....

Honestly this could give the team a spark. Fat Al obviously didn't care about the team.

Haynesworth told Bruce Allen yesterday that he wasn't going to speak with Shanahan anymore. WTF. What a pile of shit this guy is.

I think it is more of a matter that AH had 35m of the owners $$ and he would like to get some back
Building a case...
Could only suspend him for 4 games...
Keeping him around to build the case....

This is great news. That fat fck can be a Titan at heart and watch them from home.

Re: Big Al suspended for the remainder of season

It will be interesting to see the reactions from guys on the team. I fully expect them to fall in behind Shanahan and say things along the lines of "it is regrettable and I would like to have seen things work out differently, but Albert has only himself to blame."

I hope Fletch circles the D together and uses this as motivation for this weekend. It's damned Bucs week (can't do the **** expletive-laden version after the beat down we took last week; that would suggest a level of excitement about our prospects that seems wildly unrealistic).

Jeeze, just listening to BMitch rant about how bad Shanny has handled this situation. I like BMitch, but dude, it's not like the coaches are trying to blame Fat Al for the "team" failures this season, they're just dealing with a malcontented moron and "his" failure to do WHAT HE WAS PAID TO DO!!

Re: Big Al suspended for the remainder of season

A little too late, don't get why people are so preoccupied with money. No one said that fixing Vinny's mess would be cheap.

While AH brought this upon himself, Shanahan could have easily avoided all of this by trading him or cutting him. Now that he has taught the fat overpaid kid a lesson, I hope he focuses on the crappy team we have now.

They could have dealt with this malcontent weeks ago, basically they waited until this blew up to deal with it.

I think the reasons for motivation are gone from this team. And if they do get motivated, then great, way to do it when it doesn't matter anymore.

Re: Big Al suspended for the remainder of season

I usually agree with BMitch, but he is way off on this one.

If AH did the things Shanny said he did, he deserves everything he got.

Most people would agree that the skins needed a culture change after spurrier, gibbs 2, and zorn. This is part of the culture change...I love it.

I think that for Shanny its easier to start tough and maybe ease up than start easy and get tough later.

Too bad the culture change doesn't include winning.

I'm not defending the timing of this, simply disagreeing with BMitch's viewpoint that Shanny was trying to lay blame on AH for the entire team's failure this season. Most EVERYONE on this team can shoulder at least some blame. But, considering what Shanny and Co. inherited, what the hell did we all expect, a run to the Super Bowl? Many of us knew this would take more than one season, probably 2-3, to get the ship righted. We have still yet given this thing time to unfold. AH is just one of the problems and now he has finally been eradicated.
