Carter also has no hands bro, to much tape I guess.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander

Lorenzo Alexander is from Cal where he played D-Line. He is not only good football player but he is smart. I think he picked the 3-4 scheme up faster than maybe Chris Wilson. A/C is better suited to rush the passer and I like the idea of using Carter in the nickle as a pass rusher. I would also like to see Wilson rushing the passer more but he appears to get out of position more or he just does'nt have good awareness. I think Lorenzo could also move to the inside LB spot. Hey we may have blew it on Kelly, Thomas , but how about our late round pick of Kareem Moore undrafted players such as Lorenzo and Heyer. Heyer does get a few penalties but he has improved each week thus far and ZO he is now starting.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander

James Harrison was a practice squad player in Pittsburgh before finding his niche as an OLB in the 3-4. Not saying that Alexander is the next James Harrison, but he seems to be able to do anything coaches ask of him. Perhaps his upside at LB is higher than we think.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander

If we could find 53 players w/ his (good not great) talent and (phenomenal, off the charts) attitude, we'd be entering a new Redskins Golden Age. So glad we have actually held onto this guy!

Damn - I love this guy!!!

I'm thinkin the same thing; I could see him as a starter at OLB or ILB for the next 5-6 years if healthy. Definitely should get an extension, though I know he just signed one this year.

When they first announced they were moving him to OLB I thought it was crazy simply because he's been moved around already & his original position was DT. So why not have him play DE in the 3-4? Now I can see why they put him there. It doesn't show in the D stats but in the last 2 weeks we've seen him make big plays & we've won.

Well, of course Orakpo as well, but he's still three and a half years from free agency. That's an eternity in the NFL.
I firmly agree with the Carlos Rogers because he is a Tarantula in coverage But Lorenzo Alexander wouldn't Net that much unless he has a monster year.

I can't Knock the guy he's a baller. Did you guys see that preseason tackle with no helmet against the titans when he like broke his head open IN THE PRESEASON. Thats the type of Players we need. If he's Successfull this season I'm Almost positive his approach to the game may rub off on the likes of Chris Wilson and hopefully PERRY RILEY. Imagine if Perry Riley develops nicely then we move Rocky to OLB and get one or two more seasons out of Fletch add-in a couple LBS in the draft maybe adalius thomas off Waivers WE could have a solid core of lbs for the next three-Four years which is our window of Opprutunity with MCNABB at the helm.

Also i believe the guy has the natural instincts to play pretty much any position short of WR or DB. He just seems comfortable at every spot. To LA

He's actually worse is you judge by playing time.
In San Fran he went from being a back-up OLB to a starter.

Wilson is quicker, not as bulky and can do both, rush and cover.
Wilson has made plays every time he has stepped on the field too. He may look the part of OLB more so than Alexander but, he's hasn't out played him. Alexander's awareness is outstanding.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander

LO #97 has earned the starting position hands down .. love the attitude that started all the way back a few years ago with the helmet-less tackle .. i still think AC #99 is a valuable asset in the pass rushing game and it's shown the last few games now that he is playing more of that role ... AC can still get the passer and LO has just been as solid as they come ... great to see this guy making plays .. HTTR ...

4-2 come Monday

Alexander Does have great self-awareness. That Play he made against greenbay in the redzone covering an Athletic Tight-end No one at LB on our team would have made. He realized the flow of the offensive line-man and didnt bite a beautiful play-action by rodgers. Thats a hell of a play. If rodgers completes that throw we're 2-3. Mad props to Alexander he's a Baller.

I agree. I have been saying since training camp we need to see more of Wilson. He is a football player.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I would love to see Alexander at Inside Linebacker with Fletcher. Then a rotation of Orakpo, Rocky and Wilson on the outside. Rocky looked great outside last week when he was there on a few nickle packages. Rocky is fast and would be a great pass rusher on the outside. Lorenzo who reminds me of those big Steeler iLB's types is more physical would be better suited inside. He would be a monster blitzing from there.
What has happened to Perry Riley, is he still injured? He was making plays in camp and preseason before he hurt his knee. Is he on IR?

He plays behind Rocky Mcintosh at the ILB spot he's not on injured reserve he may just not be up to speed they play a 4-3 at lsu and he was a MLB i guessed he would see 0 action during the regular once i heard we were switching to a 3-4
