Maybe Favre can help salvage my $$ league team. He killed me in the first 3 games.

A funny side note from Ross Tucker and Peter King:

# SI_PeterKing

Bud Selig "I Love the NFL'' Note of the Day: McNabb traded on MLB's opening night. Moss traded to Minn on day of Twins' home playoff opener. 7 minutes ago via TweetDeck

# Ross Tucker

If MLB Commish Bud Selig didn't hate the NFL after McNabb trade on Opening Day, he does now after Moss trade on first day of postseason. 7 minutes ago via web

That's how they roll. I wish that we put more emphasis on the draft. Note that we traded a 3 and a 4 for Brandon Marshall, another 3 and a 4 for TJ Duckett, while the Raiders acquired Randy Moss in his prime for a 4. Hopefully our days of tossing draft choices like confetti for marginal players are over.

3rd and 4th for Brandon Marshall. Ha! I wish

The Duckett move was my least favorite move (arguably) of the past decade. I saw no point in it, especially since we never actually used him

Yes, the Duckett trade was completely ridiculous

I think their two rookie TEs also had something to do with it. Apparently, Wes Welker finally has some friends to establish the Pats' faux running game.

Danny Woodhead is pretty shifty coming out of the backfield. He's like a Welker type at RB.

Question:

Would NE now trade for V Jackson? Certainly they have the picks.

I guess I was wishing too - that 3 and 4 was traded for Brandon Lloyd. Adding insult to injury, Snyder/Gibbs tore up the last year of his contract and handed him a $10M bonus before he played a down - ouch.

This has been the year of some high profile players getting traded for little compensation.

The Pats need help in their defense, so I would say they'd go for a defensive player if one became available.

My guess is yes. They sure have the draft picks to do it and it will happen.

as he did i. (i think that is a proper but odd grammactical sentence, FD?)

i traded maclin and favre for romo and fred jackson to get out of the favre mess but the damage is already done.

good for moss, vikes and pats. moss was going after this season anyways, vikes get a boost in team and fan morale with the (false) hope that moss can turn things back around and the pats get a 3rd for a player who was walking anyways.

this has to hurt the pats chances thoo, i dont see the emergence of hernandez as insurance for making this move.
