You would rather have Tim Tebow over D. McNabb.... Bro, I haven't smoked in years but I really want some of that shiznit...

Donovan McNabb isn't old. He's 33. A QB's shelf life is a lot longer than most positions, he could easily keep up this level of production till age 36 or 37. Some guys go longer than that. He would make a huge difference for us.

Agree. Also he played very aggressively mid/late last season. As good as any top 5 QB. Unfortunatly for him the play calling got super conservative in the playoffs. He comes here we win. That simple. Fire away!

I agree. ill take mcnabb for 5 years over another Jason Campbell type project any day of the week. perhaps we wouldnt even have to give up a pick. im thinking we just swap first rounders or something like that

Re: Mcnabb to Washington?

I'm not saying McNabb is a bad QB, he will probably go to the Hall. His game is system specific in my opinion, Reid built that team and scheme around him, and Donovan has a bad rep in big games, a lot of it deserved. I also don't see this team as being Championship contending for 3-4 years, when McNabb's career is over.
Grab a young QB this year, even if it is Tebow, and build a Championship team around him as he grows into the position. In 4 years, our QB will be in his prime, and with a solid team around him.

I think one should remember to consider whether he will retire 4 or 5 years from now.

3-4 years? No team in the league is 3-4 years away. Honestly, if they got a couple of breaks they could get to the Super Bowl next year.

I don't think people are admitting how awful Zorn truly was.

Has anyone heard what Campbell said about when Zorn came here? Campbell is 6-5. The first thing Zorn taught him was to be "smaller" in the pocket. Campbell said that since he was a kid he was taught to be tall in the pocket.

Now who the eff has ever said that QBs are better when they are lower in the pocket?

Shanahan is worth at least 4 wins over that idiot. Poor Baltimore, he is going to find a way to ruin their QB.

Re: Mcnabb to Washington?

Okay, anyone who's been keeping track, I am all for Jason Campbell and I don't blame him at all for our downfall. For instance the fact that he hasn't had a big win where he made the big comeback is not his fault. For example, he put up big numbers against Gregg William's Defense and almost beat the undefeated Saints. After an allpro level game, he BEGAN a bigtime comeback drive... then Sellers fumbled... so it's not like JC is the enemy and i do firmly believe that with the new system, and an o-line, JC can shine.

That being said, McNabb is, right now, a better quarterback... Period. If we got McNabb and lost JC... i would get over it. ESPECIALY if we picked up a 2nd or 3rd round QB to learn under him. JC training Tebow vs McNabb training Tebow... Hmmm...

Donovan would give us a legitimately higher chance THIS year and would allow for a better chance of a better replacement in the future.

Re: Mcnabb to Washington?

Getting McNabb would be a huge mistake. I just hope this is just BA f'ing around with other teams. I'm still amazed at how so many fans still think we're one player away from contending. We need to rebuild (starting with the oline) and stop wasting picks on what seems like a quick fix.

LOL.

I don't think anyone would argue that the Eagles had a hell of a lot better OL due to their constantly replenishing the OL through the draft. Yet McNoodles stats are not that much better then Campbells. He had 5 more TD's. Only a few less interceptions with about 75 less yrds on the year. Due to that his QB rating was about 10 points higher? All because of the less yrds and fewer interceptions.

Yep, McNoodle is definitly a hell of a lot better.

Re: Mcnabb to Washington?

33-year old McNabb isn't a meaningful improvement on Campbell. No reason to be delusional on this tire-kicking. It's merely a personal preference between two middle-of-the-pack guys.

When he's on the open market, lets consider him as a veteran stopgap. Until then, let's just calm down and let these trade winds blow over.
