So a year, hmm that kinda blows my theory. I always think new members and free trail members get first debs so they get sucked in. I have no idea it is all a mystery. I have been a member for like five or six years. I do heart the instant watch. I watched Sssssss the other night great 70's horror flick that I would have never watched if not for instant.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
A game that really slipped under the radar is Bayonetta. One of the weirdest, coolest, twistedly beautiful games I've ever played. In the game you control a 10 foot tall witch who uses her hair to summon demons, has shotguns attached to her stilettos, can turn into a bat, crow, and leopard, and hunts angels and giant floating baby heads for a living. While the crazy Japanese imagery is pretty incredible, what really makes the game work is its combat system. Using only two attack buttons and dodge, it is stunning the combos you are stringing together by the end of the game. If you like games like God of War or Devil May Cry, this is one to check out.

Not much mention of RPGs up in here, anybody play any good ones? I just finished Dragon Age: Origins and I'm wondering where I should head next. Elder Scrolls or Final Fantasy?

Why not Mass Effect 2? I'm starting that this afternoon. If you haven't played the first one (and you really should before playing 2, as 2 imports your save file and adjusts the plot according to the choices you made in 1) you can get it for 20 bucks. People are already calling 2 a GOTY contender.

My most anticipated games the next 3 months would be God of War 3, Final Fantasy XIII, Alan Wake, and as I've mentioned on the Modern Warfare 2 thread, I'm all about some Battlefield Bad Company 2. I'm also on board with wanting Crackdown 2 (got the first one for the Halo 3 beta and wound up loving the game so much I never got rid of it) and Splinter Cell: Conviction which I've had ordered for over 2 years thanks to all of it's delays.

Maybe we have, I don't remember. I do work there, but I read online every day how much some people vehemently hate us so they all kind of blend together after a while. I honestly just like learning from the legitimate controllable mistakes of others as a tool for making sure my store doesn't make similar mistakes because talking about and selling video games for a living is as fun as it sounds 95% of the time.

and I forgot to mention, if anyone here is a fan of mario kart and you have a ps3, modnation racers is absolutely amazing. the best way to describe it is if mario kart and little big planet had a fling, this game would be the result.

Halo looks awesome. I just hope they balanced more to gun fire and less to melee. I'm now getting psyched for Bad Company 2.

Anyone with a PS3 download the Heavy Rain demo? It's definitely not for everyone, but it looks amazing and I've gotta give it some kudos for originality.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
It seems like the new AVP has a pretty positive buzz. Haven't seen the IGN review yet, but IGN UK and Gamespy gave it very positive reviews. This is the new AVP that comes out Tuesday, not the older one. Not for me, but if you're like a die-hard AVP fan then it might be a must-buy.
