this is a nice turn around from the '06 season when you were adamant that the season was done and the skins wouldnt win out and make the playoffs.

while i was optimistic about our chances of making the playoffs in '06, i dont see this team going any better than 4-5 wins.

that said,

skins 24
falcons 17

go skins!!

cmon man r defense is good, were not gonna get blown out unless are offence turns it over 5 times.

Re: What do you expect in the Atlanta game

Expect Campbell to get sacked, ARE to fall down and Portis to run into his own men.

The defense on the other hand, plays lights out.

Too bad it's hard to win when you don't put points on the board.

ATL - 27
Skins 17

Re: What do you expect in the Atlanta game

Since Ceratto gave us a talented playoff caliber roster we will win.

Seriously though, Atlanta should beat us, but we do have an outside chance.
With two weeks to prepare and rest our old players, if our O-line can play well we could win. But our Vinny Ceratto/Mickey Mouse O-line has not shown it can run block or pass block very well. It comes down to our o-line.

No reason for me to expect anything other than MOS. Atlanta's defense is suspect to a degree, but they can score points, something we've had a hard time doing.

Atlanta 21

Re: What do you expect in the Atlanta game

Defense will allow us to hang on but offense will continue to struggle.

Falcons - 20
Redskins -10

Defense will walk away with 3 or 4 sacks. Playcalling will be good, execution will be terrible. Collins will get another chance to play.

As a fan of the NFL and realism I can clearly see that our team is not competitive with the upper half of teams in the league.

For me, it has not been so much about the losing but the lack of a competitive franchise. Our last competitive win is probably the back to back games verse the cowboys and eagles last season and our late season win against the giants in 2007.

The Skins just aren't building teams that are competitive with the top ten teams in the league. The pittsburgh game last year clearly shows that. We were 6-2 going in to play a competitive NFL team at FedEx. We only scored off of two fumbles that took place on their side of the field. If we're never able to hang with these teams then we won't reasonalby go far in the playoffs.

When we're blown out our by competitive teams that means we'd last one game in the playoffs. Why am I going to root my team on to go to the playoffs when they are just going to one and done? Build a competitive team FIRST and then they won't need all the fans to ROOT HARD for the backdoor chance at the playoffs and The Pipe Dream Bowl.

AND I'm not even saying WIN...just be competitive...scare me...make it close...something...then you'll at least have a realistic shot beyond that.

I see our D-fence getting the win for us, our offense struggling but able to get a late field goal to win 24-21.HTTR

We cant lose'em all...

Re: What do you expect in the Atlanta game

I'd expect the Redskins to win 17-10. I am sure the Redskins' defense will stop Michael Turner, so the Skins probably only allow one "lucky touchdown" from Tony Gonzalez and a FG before halftime. Fred Davis and Clinton Portis will score a TD. That's my expectation.

Why do you think so? I like to hear your explaination for this score. The Redskins' D can handle the Falcons weapon.

Sadly, Zorn's waffling on ARE returning punts dooms MM's chance. Zorn doesn't really seem to have it in him to put a new face in. Pretty hard and fast on the roster. I think, barring Zorn's ouster, the only way MM hits the field is A: playoff elimination; B: injuries. very discouraging.
