Re: Welcome back Anthony Alridge.........

Let me see if I got this straight. An offensive lineman gets injured gets put on IR which means we have a need for an offensive lineman to fill ...the 8th spot. and in the end we bring in a RB?

Hate to sound like I'm complaining sooo.....

Thank god he's back. We need him.

I am glad that we have Vice President of football operations looking to make our team better in every way.
You could argue with that, although most of us fans have been upset with Redskins for not developing players with our picks.. Not signing FAs or trading for someone, they are doing this, and now we are upset with them for not signing Kendall (or someone else) or trading for someone? I believe there's a link somewhere (Washington Post?) that says our FO expected the chances of R. Thomas missing some games; Bugel obviously believes Rinehart or Montgomery will be a good candidate..

I'm pretty sure Rinehart will be the one, but this would mean we have inexperienced right side.. Which means we will run to left all the time; Zorn need to learn how to trust Heyer and Rinehart, they will make mistakes but they also will make great plays.. Including all other players, especially JC..

Now we can dump Mason.

And just to add, just because you put a OL on IR that doesn't mean you have to replace that roster spot with a OL. Bashing on Vinny for this is just dumb.

I think Mason is in. My thinking is that they were already phasing rock out against the Rams.

I was really pulling for Alridge to make the opening day roster despite the fumbles. He gives us another dimension in terms of RB speed that we haven't had in many years.

You are forgetting that we kept an extra o-lineman to begin with. So this move just brings us to equilibrium.

I wish it had been Dorsey but I'm glad that we have a speed guy back.

Nope, in my opinion they have probably one of the best 1,2,3 punch at RB. McFadden, Bush and Fargas.

1st I wasn't bashing Vinny. I actually am happy with his last 2 drafts. O-lineman aside.

2nd I think we all know they could sign whoever they wanted. Maybe even 4 field goal kickers if they wanted. I just think we were supprised that an O-lineman was not picked up considering they started the season with 8 and obviously the team thought they needed 8, now were at 7. I guess the team is actually happy with Rinehart which is a good sign.

I heard Jason Reid say on WPL today that the Redskins were planning on Rinehart to be the starter next year so yeah, they must have some belief he can play. You know, if the young guys can play, let 'em play. I'm all for getting younger if they have the ability.

Rinehart was deactivated last two games for a reason; he plays guard.. W. Montgomery plays center and guard.. And we had 7 O-line men activated, not 8.. Basically we still have intact O-linemen, just with a different player; in this situation, this is suppose to be good thing because we are going with a player whom we developed..

Rock hasn't had any carries in 2 games and has 4 KO returns for an avg. of 24 yds/return. You might be right, maybe a trade?

Im thinking Betts before Rock, at least Rock will tackle someone on coverage teams. Does anyone think a team will give up anything for either Rock and/or Betts?
