Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
Anyone who thinks that the Skins will win is delirious.
The eagles have a better team. We have a talented team with little leadership and NO drive. It's embaressing. We should be 2 - 12 right now. We are lucky to have the record we have. Zorn is not a good coach and after this year, I do not think Campbell is the answer either -- however he does deserve a chance. With a good coach and leadership, the skins have a chance next year. But the Eagles will make us look silly this week. |

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
It will be just our luck that the Redskins will come out and play flawless football, and we'll all say "Where the hell has that been for the past month"
But it's more likely that the Eagles will pull away in the 2nd half, yet I think (wishful thinking?) one of our rookie receivers is going to have a breakout game. By the way, apparently Rogers will be the nickel back for the rest of the season.

I, too, have the feeling that Kelly or Thomas will have a big game. I've had that feeling all week for some reason.

And Blache was very clear on his starting corners. BLU & Hall. Not so sure I fully understand the message behind the madness on that call. I would have to assume he feels they are our best two corners, when healthy. When Los is having his best season as a Redskin IMO, other than he needs to learn how to catch the football. And BLU the usual can't stay on the field.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
ON CARLOS ROGERS...this was the yahoo official report.
Tue, Dec 16: CB Carlos Rogers, who supplanted the oft-injured Shawn Springs as Washington's No. 1 cornerback this year, was told shortly before kickoff Sunday that he would be a backup against Cincinnati. "Carlos has been sick," defensive coordinator Greg Blache said. "He practiced Thursday and Friday, but he went to the doctor Wednesday to get blood tests. He hadn't had anything solid (to eat). Last week, we pumped him with IVs to get him through the game." Rogers was surprised by the move and said nothing about feeling ill on Sunday. "It's coach Blache's decision," Rogers said. "All I do is take my snaps when I get them and just go with it. I don't know. Maybe I need to evaluate myself and see what I been doing wrong. Can't sit there and weep about it or pout. I'm not going to worry about it." (Yahoo! Sports)

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
Rogers has struggled in tackling for the first time in his career, but the only reason that this makes sense is that Blache has an unhealthy man-crush on Hall. Which, if true, wouldn't be surprising at all.
Hall hasn't exactly done anything to make me say that he's undeserving to start, but most teams make you earn your way onto the field, and this team has basically handed a future role in the defense to him in a handbasket.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
maybe they are playing Hall to see if he is deserving of a new contract?

As for Rogers, I get the sense they're showcasing Hall, mainly for themselves, to try to get a better sense of his true value

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
Now the stress of the first half and struggling to make the play offs are over. With nothing to lose all the players start playing more losely. They allow the points to soar. for whatever reason our offense kicks in this weekend and we are left scratching our collective heads. Zorn saves his job by simply doing nothing different and allowing the players to .....EXECUTE. Either that or he bombs the last two games and Snyder calls for anyone to be executed. LOL.

I agree with you. I'm not sure what Blache is doing? I'm wondering if he is simply looking at who would be worth keeping for next year or is he trying different combinations hoping something will work? The sad thing is it looks from the outside like he's just throwing anything out there in hopes it works. Which is not a good look. |

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
Skins win big. All you here from the locker room is hip-hip WTF. Zorn takes the players out for a coke and tells them stories about xmass. And then they all make snow angles. JC is happy because his is the best.

Oh wow, you guys are still excited about the Skins? Here I was thinking a vacation in Iraq was more exciting than watching another Skins game.

The way this ****ing team has been this year.... Watch us come out and work the deep ball, the O-line will step up and provide some protection, Rogers will actually be in position to give some decent coverage. LOL Ok ,ok ...maybe not ALL that. But enough to once again leaving us shaking our heads saying "why couldn't we have played like that the last four weeks!!??"
