Heck of a game! Huet is MONEY, Ovie keeps rollling. What a pickup Huet has turned out to be. Game puck for his great job between the posts.....SHUTOUT! 3- NUTTIN

And yes it would be real nice to see philly LOSE, last I checked they where knotted up 3-3 late in 3rd....

Philly got at least 1 point. They are going to OT with NY.

The Cans are down right now to Tampa late in the 3rd.

Cans fall to Tampa, that helps. They should have won that game.

Philly wins in SO.

We play the Cans this week I think Tuesday, that could be the deciding factor. If it keeps going like this we just need to win our last three games and let the chips fall where they may. Hopefully one or all of the three teams in our way the Cans, Philly or the Bruins will stumble.

Re: The Washington Capitals superstar Ovechkin gets his 60th goal tonight!

The Capitals are playing great down the stretch, and have been unreal all month tonight made 8 out of the last 9 in the win column.

I hope they make it in the post season play but if they don't they have nothing to hold there head down about. This team has clearly been the team to beat in the Eastern Conference for the last several months. If they do get into the playoffs they will be very dangerous.

This team is now built around an outstanding cast of young stars Ovechkin (MVP), Semin, Green, Backstrum, Kozlov & Co. with a great new coach in Boudreau. This team is built to deliver a Stanley Cup to DC in the future.

Very true, good post. Lets just hope the Caps keep playing at this level and win out (there last three home games) and see what happens. Could still be a playoff birth in the making?

Re: The Washington Capitals superstar Ovechkin gets his 60th goal tonight!

It's probably the biggest game in the Caps last half dozen years in DC against division leading Cans! And it's a RED OUT the fans are rocking on the home team.

The Caps just took first blood from the Cans. Cooke dented the twine late in the first. Caps 1-0

Go Caps!

Caps, Laich just dented the twine inside 1 minute in the 1st! Caps 2-0 at end of 1st.

LETS ROLL!

Yes that was a nice half time special guest......with the GoCaps from JC!

Cans started the 2nd off with that pesky Walker getting one, where was the call (hate to be like that but Ray Charles could have seen that!). Caps 2-1

Wow that was a crazy few seconds. Power play to 5 on 3 Canes and then goalie interference to 4 on 3. Insane. Nice breakway Caps..damn close. Lets Go Caps we need this one. 2-1 Caps still; commercial.
