I know Cowher has been discussed ad nauseaum, my point was that I am tired of mods carping about what should or should not be threads. We cant read thier minds as to what they think is thread-worthy. If mods only want what they feel is thread-worth material to become a thread then put out a list of allowable thread topics, otherwise stop complaining about what they feel is not a thread topic.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the 6th thread on Bill Cowher, which contains no information that couldn't be found or argued in the previous 5 threads, is probably going to get some "carping" from the mods.

You don't have to be able to read minds, a little common sense will work just fine.

So the list could start with no more Cowher threads. I guess we could add no more patrick Ramsey or LaVar Arrington threads. Thats 3. What else?

Re: Bill Cowher!!

I would suggest that discussions about thread protocol and etiquette do not belong in the locker room. They have the Playbook or whatever for this.

You have to base your common sense off of a list??

I think we need to get him in the offseason. Just think with him on the sidelines and Gibbs in the front office we could get this ship sailing back right again.
How exactly would the team benefit by having Gibbs in the front office? Gibbs was happy to stick to coaching instead of dabbling in personnel during his first run, and he hasn't exactly shown himself to be any sort of genius (to say the very least) when given the chance to have greater say in personnel during his second run. As someone said already in this thread, it was Gibbs' coaching that was supposed to right this ship. He's never been, and never will be, a personnel guy, so there is nothing for the organization to gain in having him go upstairs, unless someone believes that having him on the sidelines is a detriment.

I dont but as they say, common sense isnt too common so others might. I though having a clear list would make it obvious for those lacking the common sense of thread starting and help stop the mods from getting frustrated with stupid redundant threads.

Re: Bill Cowher!!

Well, on the subject of Bill Cowher ... the people who are desparate for a more wide open offense shouldn't be calling for him to come here. If there are complaints about Joe Gibbs being too 'Old School', it would be important to remember that Cowher is the Principal of Old School.

And he carries a large paddle.

(which might not be a bad thing, come to think of it.)

Re: Bill Cowher!!

Another bash Gibbs thread? WTF!!! I am tired of speculation about Coach Gibbs and his status with the team. He is not going any where unless he decides to. The man is a living legend and has returned the franchise to a winning record two out of four seasons. One playoff year and as stated in another post playoffs on the horizon this season.

Can we please stop promoting beyond the current coach until he has decided to move on?

Re: Bill Cowher!!

As good of a coach Cowher, no one going to be consistant winner unless our front office changes. We need a GM, We all love Gibbs but he does not have a good eye for talent. Lloyd,Duckett,Howard,Brunell etc.

Re: Bill Cowher!!

Great! I'm beginning to wonder if I'm on an Eagles' fan forum (no offense because the mods know I love the warpath.) We have a winning record and a great chance at improving on that record this weekend, and you guys are tasteless enough to talk about getting rid of Joe Gibbs in favor for starting all over again. Gluttons for punishment? I guess you guys just love staying in constant "rebuild" mode.
