Re: Why is Sean Taylor such an Enigma?

This forum is totally gay, however; I found another good artical about him:
SportingNews.com - NFL - Leaner, meaner, still quiet: Redskins' Taylor is still the beast

Portis: "Defensive player of the year. ... You're going to see some picks. You're going to see some heads getting knocked off. You're going to see some receivers retire. You're going to see everything you've been looking for."

A good read, also addresses his weight loss

This was found on the offical ST webpage:
Sean Taylor's Official Website

one thing about taylor that i don't like is that he has a charity called the three kings of washington along with santana and portis. However, to the events i've been to he doesn't seem to show up even though he is slated to come. But we have seen his talkitive side. Before the Tampa playoff game (i think), he went up to the reporters on the sidelines and gave a mini interview. It was right in the middle of their broadcast and he jumped in. I think it was ESPN.

I do remember last year on the Saturday night game (the Giants debacle) Sean made a point to run over and say hey to Deion and that group. I remember whatever former coach works that staff (Mariucci?) said, after he left, that he liked him because he called him "Mr. Mariucci."

Re: Why is Sean Taylor such an Enigma?

I really beleive he does not speak to the media because he is worried how they would portray him. I think people want to label him as a thug, or bad guy because he looks to tear peoples head off. I also believe he does it as a intimidation factor, a silent killer type of affect. he just gonna walk the walk and let everyone else talk. I like it. the only thing I want to know is, Is he happy being a Redskin? That is all I want to hear, "I love the skins, i love the fans now let me go hit T.O. again"

Isn't his dad the head of police in some florida town? How "gansta" are you going to be with a dad in that position? Its just an image. I think he's just a shy guy that thinks the media and be a bit nosy. He prefers to keep to himself. I don't blame him. As long as he stays out of trouble and lays people out the way he does I'm cool with him. He is no doubt one of my favorite players in the league. Go skins!

If I was already making the money I needed to be comfortable, and I wasn't forced by contract to do media, I'd be the same way.

Thanks good to be on the board!

I literally owe my life to the Skins and their "generous" fans. Mommy, is that you?

Yep, it was NFL network. He kind of caught them off guard. It was good to see him chatting the guys up a bit.

Re: Why is Sean Taylor such an Enigma?

He just seems very shy. You wouldn't think it. But to me, thats how it seems. He has trouble answering some questions just cause he seems to get nervous. He sounds very awkward in all of his interviews with Larry Michael.
