Re: Mark Cuban considers starting a rival NFL
You are talking about the same guy who claimed to want to leave professional sports and sell his NBA franchise after they gave up a 2-0 series lead in the finals. He also puts together tape of how refs screwed his team over with calls and sends it to the league office. The guy is a big crybaby. I wonder how he is going to deal with it when this league tanks. It may turn him into a sociopath!

Re: Mark Cuban considers starting a rival NFL
The USFL did have high profile stars such as Hershel Walker and Jim Kelly, etc and it still folded after a short time. Cuban is delusional if he thinks he can compete with the NFL, with a very long and established history behind it. How is he going to get players? The best "scrubs" get relegated to the practice squads or NFL Europe. THe other leftovers go to AFL, where they stay. The USFL and the one week wonder the XFL should be proof enough that it is a dumb idea. To even have a shot, I would think that any new league would have to have teams in medium sized cities where you find the AFL teams and/ or just have games on Friday nights as to not have direct competition with the NFL. Thing is you will need to have a draw and having 2-3rd rate players isn't going to do that, so Cuban should scrap his dream. A more realistic goal for Cuban would be to get an expansion MSL team going in TX or somewhere in the Amer SW.
