Re: Dwight Freeney to Skins?

I would not disagree, we were deep in talent. We had no Freeney's. We had a lot of guys with talent and work ethic.
Like I said, the Hogs were stars, but other than a Skins fan, who can name them? Not many HOF'ers (I mistakenly said pro-bowlers earlier)

I think I know what you're saying. We had the playmakers, but not the flashy superstars. Clark was the "flashiest" one of all, but he was still gritty and all-business on the field.

But oh, if we only go back to the days of finding Monte Coleman in the 11th round of the draft or Joe Jacoby in undrafted free agency.

Ahh, the 80's. Bobby Beathard, Joe Gibbs (1.0), and Culture Club ... who could ask for more?

I'd tumble for that. I watch today's Redskins and I think "do you really want to hurt me, do you really want to make me cry" Karma Karma Karma Chameleon is a bitch...and so on.

I'll stop now

Culture Club, holy shit.
That is what I meant. We had guys that played Great together. Not that many Great guys.
The off season should be real interesting. One of the most compelling things about Joe is his ability to evaluate and evolve. We'll see

Re: Dwight Freeney to Skins?

Jamal Anderson will help more than Freeney even now. He is much better against the run and opposite Carter he should have immediate impact. Plus, Golston looked really good at the end of the year at DT. Maybe with Griffin mentoring the other 3 the line might not be abysmal this year (of course there would still be no depth cuz Daniels and Wynn are really over the hill and can't play a full season between them.
We'll probably still give up a few more picks to move up to 4 to get the same guy available at 6 anyway.

Re: Dwight Freeney to Skins?

He had drops this year, absolutely. But he caught a higher percentage of the passes thrown his direction this season than Gates, Clark, and Crumpler did.
