true but I like Smoot. Agreed I wouldnt take him over Springs or Rogers @ this point just because he WAS replaced by a rook. I mean, being replaced by a rook isnt too big but, Smoot isnt all that. I like him and would welcome him back, but it aint happenin.

Re: Fred Smoot Update

Very interesting. I bet he would come back here for reasonable money. I just hope that they don't think they can replace Springs by signing Smoot.

Rogers needs to be broken down some. He has the talent but he hasn't shown me anything to be egotistical about. More often than not, he should be embarassed when he cashes that game check.

Folks, we are 35 posts into this thread and no one has asked the critical question yet. Forget who will be the nickel corner. Forget what the cap implications of a signing might be. Forget all that stuff and focus on the REAL question:

If Smoot returned to the Redskins, would TAFKAS revert to his previous identity?

Enquiring minds want to know...

Re: Fred Smoot Update

My take on Smoot when he was here was that he was a Marine. I don't know what happened to him in Minnesota-perhaps the money softened him, but I never saw anything to complain about when he was here. I might be tempted to take a chance on him. His time in Washington couldn't have been as bad as his time up there so maybe he would consider it.

Some will bring up the sex boat, but really, I mean if you can't have group sex with strippers on a boat, what's the point of being a professional athlete? What's the point of going on in this world at all? In a world where there are no maritime orgies or peeing in people's yards, I think the living would envy the dead.

Re: Fred Smoot Update

TAFKAS:

Even though I would be the first to hail the return to Warpath.net of the one and only "Smootsmack", I have to say that I'd rather have Dre Bly in my DB than Freddy.

Don't know if the Skins could come up with something the Lions would take in exchange for Bly; but if they could, that would give them a cover corner that they have on the roster ONLY if Springs is 100% healthy.

Let's see. Bly or Smoot? If that one gives you pause then you'd probably also pause if given the choice between Antonio Pierce and Brian Urlacher...

Re: Fred Smoot Update

in this universe when he played for the skins he was a force the only reason why springs got 5 interceptions in his first season is cause people didnt want to throw to fred smoot he is more explosive more agile and springs has lost a few steps

Re: Fred Smoot Update

The Redskins Keep Doing This They Build Up A Player And Then Dont Re-sign Them When Their Contract Is Up Ex: Fred Smoot, Stephen Davis, Lavar Arrington, Champ Bailey, I Am Sick Of This Bs I Am Starting To Worry If This Trend Will Continue When Sean Taylor's Contract Is Up

I'm starting to worry if you'll keep capitalizing every word in every post. Is this something new for message boards to express yelling since all-caps is frowned upon? You're viewpoints seem okay, but the excess capitalization really detracts from the value of your post.
