i'll tell you being able to play Colston as a TE is crap...yahoo hasn't fixed that... Far as i'm concerned, i want portis back (after he has healed up), even if its only for one game...he has the whole offseason to rest.

But one league I play him as WR with Gates at TE, and in the other league, I dont have a good TE, so its like I have 4 recievers.

Re: Portis Expected to Be Placed on IR
Portis is gonna be pissed, I hope we dont have another LaVar incident brewing here.
BTW the title of this thread should be changed, now that it is official.

Re: Portis Expected to Be Placed on IR
I don't get it. I remember Emmitt breaking his hand and playing shortly after. T.O. broke his hand this year and played soon after. What would cause the Redskins to end Portis' season?
Portis said is was a clean break and that surgery was successful. The season is essentially over but it isn't officially over. |

Re: Portis Expected to Be Placed on IR
so is he, or isnt he, on injured reserve? i say wait until the skins are eliminated. then make a move. but as long as we still have a chance, work on getting him healthy

Re: Portis Expected to Be Placed on IR
its not just the finger (like TO) its the HAND - three screws, no sooner than 4 weeks, maybe up to 8. besides that, he's probably going to have shoulder surgery this week as well, o he can start healing that too (which may be longer than 4 weeks in recovery and part of the reason).
I agree with it if he is really being put on IR now. whether he is or not, he probably wouldn't have played for the rest of this year anyways. |

Re: Portis Expected to Be Placed on IR
I'm sick about this. But the playoffs are nothing short of a miracle. I agree with this move. Get our franchise back healthy for next year. I knew that tackle in the Bengals game would haunt us, but not like this.

Re: Portis Expected to Be Placed on IR
He's had such an injury plagued year, shut him down and let's get him 100% for next season.
This year is a lost cause. Winning our last 7 games would be a miracle, and besides even if that did happen you would have to believe that Betts and Duckett are doing a good enough job. |
