Re: Brady or Manning?
Both are, of course, great quarterbacks. I would, however, give the nod to Brady as the better quarterback. Brady has done so much, with such average talent around him. Manning, on the other hand, has done a lot, but he's had a great O-line, great wideouts, good TEs, and good running backs.

And finally, the kicker. If it weren't for Adam Vinaterri (sp?) NE may not have even gotten to the Super Bowl in 2002. Who knows what would happened after that. A lot of people are saying they'd rather have Brady because of the Super Bowl wins, but I don't know how fair that really is. Brady is obviously a winner and a great field general, but I still think Manning is a better QB.

Re: Brady or Manning?
the one thing that separates the two QB's is the mental strength of Brady, and lack their of in peyton.

Re: Brady or Manning?
IMO, if anything, Peyton mentally is far beyond any QB in the NFL, much less Brady. No one prepares himself more for any game than Peyton. He knows the situations and the angles inside and out. If he doesn't already, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't call his own game ala Jim Kelly.
Granted, Peyton can be mental, but that is certainly a different meaning...

Re: Brady or Manning?
that doesnt mean he has strong mental strength, mental strength is tested when you face adversity, when something goes wrong. Peyton doesnt bounce back well from failure, brady does.

Re: Brady or Manning?
Brady by far 3 SB's is enough for me. Manning could become another Marino with great stats but no SB.

Re: Brady or Manning?
Listening to NFL radio today this subject came up. One caller in particular made an excellent point. He says he is sick of hearing the 3 super bowl rings as the reason Brady is a superior quarterback. First of all, it's nearly impossible to base an individual position on winning. Winning comes from a whole team not one person, the only reliable way to look at it is stats, and even those are flawed.
He also said everyone notes how great Brady would be with those receivers, but fail to look at the flip-side. How good would Manning be with that defense? If given my pick, I'd take Manning in a second. Switch Manning with Brady, and I feel that Manning has 3, maybe more, rings too.

For a second there I thought you were going to say "genital warts;" I'm glad you didn't.

Re: Brady or Manning?
I am young, and I haven't seen all the great QBs play ... but, I think manning is the best QB ever (based on throwing ability and decision making).
... let's not forget that he threw 49 TDs in one season. That's a lot for a single team -- let alone a single player.
