Interestingly, the loss of Preileau (sp) hurt more than I thought it would. We have no option but to leave AA out in passing downs and that hurts. But give it some time. And I do think SS will be back in action this year--that will help everything back there.

Re: What would you trade for secondary help?
The Steelers are not going to trade clark to us . Besides , no way Dan and Vinny make that trade , then bench the highest paid safety in football ; and admit that they f'd up . Maybe trade Duckett for a corner , but I would not bet on a team trading a good cover corner now . I just hope if our db's improve soon ! And if we still have problems covering throughout the season , someone tell Vinny ,,, NOT to go out and bring in some f/a bum of a corner and give him a 10 million dollar signing bonus !

1. In the GW defense, the CB is required to do much more than go man up. In addition, any CB who falls into the category of being a solid cover corner is going to be impossible to purchase. 2. By time we get to the SB or playoffs, the CBs we have now will be much more up to speed than they were up to this point. They are not lacking in athletic ability. 3. The probability (but by no means certainty) is that by time we end up in the second half of the season, SS will be back on the field.

For secondary help I would trade Derek Smith, Jeff Ulbrich, Kwame Harris, Taylor Jacobs, Sammy Davis and Chris Hetherington. Garbage...

Derek Smith? Is he that bad? It's amazing he stuck around this long. I know one thing for sure, we never take back what we tossed. That would make us Indian givers.

Re: What would you trade for secondary help?
What needs to happen is S. Springs needs to get back on the field soon before this season is lost. I like Rumph more than Wright and the other guy we have playing corner. However Rogers has been a bit of a disapointment this year. Arch has been playing better here of late but, he still has a ways to go. As of now for what we payed for this guy we have not gotten a good return. The contract that this guy signed really scares me when S. Taylors contract is due for negotiation. Taylor is a guy we need back there handling buisness. But, all in all I think that the players we have back in the secondary will be fine. Once Springs comes back, it should give the defense a lift similar to when Portis came back. No more loses from here on out.

Re: What would you trade for secondary help?
absolutely, been saying that the skins have rolled the dice on the secondary and the o line, the o line is fine a long as none get hurt but the secondary without springs is naked and blind. these guys are playing scared,we need another cb. but whom could we trade for ? it can't be just another scrub, we've gotten those.how many years do you guys think springs has left ? not many, time to make a move to get us a real good corner.

What would you trade for secondary help?
Are you suggesting we send money to fix this b/c nothing will be done regardless???

Re: What would you trade for secondary help?
Here's a suggestion (albeit bourbon induced) for our secondary woes. What about a player with rare athletic skills who goes against the GW defense every day in practice?
I'm thinking get Randle El ala Troy Brown for the Patriots. Thoughts... |

Re: What would you trade for secondary help?
That's yet to be seen, and something we must stay patient with. Not every corner is Champ Bailey.
