Talented, but injury prone. It confounds me to think of him perhaps replacing another injured player. We were lucky with Walt Harris, we did manage to get a few games out of him. With our salry cap being the way it is, and with little talent available at the position we have to take on these guys for depth because they're talented and cheap but don't offer any security long term. I guess we're spoiled into either wanting or needing a career player at every position though we know it's not going to happen.

Unless I see a link, I think you're lying.

My minor in college was cultural studies (for some unknown reason) but I don't remember learning about that. I must have been hungover that day.

Wasn't it Troy Brown who played corner for NE a year or so ago?

Re: Shawn Springs to have surgery

According to Redskin Radio, Springs will be out a "few weeks" and will have SURGERY to repair a groin issue regarding muscle attachment to the bone. Ouch.

Brown, that's right. I knew one of NE's receivers did it but I couldn't remember which. I wonder if any of the Skin's WR could do that. Doubtful

Re: Shawn Springs to have surgery

I think if it was a sugery it would be up on the site by now.

I think what may have happened is that they were discussing the injury in general and concluded that it was similiar to Hall's, which if he had sugery would take about 2-3 wks to heal. But that's a lot different from 'Shawn Springs is having sugery."

OK - HERE IS THE DEAL straight from REDSKINS.COM

Ashburn, VA - Washington Redskins DB Shawn Springs underwent a medical procedure today to repair a minor tear in an abdominal muscle that attaches to the pubic bone.

The procedure was performed by Dr. William Meyers at the Durham Regional Hospital.

Doesn't sound like a serious surgery at all. It was already done today which means he'll have plenty of time to recover!!!!!
