Im surprised Watson played for so many weeks, surprised also that Winston wasn’t the next man up. Not that I expected that them to beat Baltimore but Winston is easily the best quarterback on that roster.

Browns has been trying to justify their decision to trade for Watson.. They gotta accept the mistake and move on with Winston or a new QB next year.

Dallas loses again at SF. Their skill positions are not good other than Lamb who is a great player. People wonder why Dak keeps throwing ints. He has virtually no running game and not a lot of receiving options other Lamb. He has to attempt to move the ball even with risky passes. Nice victory Niners!

Cleveland's acquisition of Watson has to be viewed as one of the worst ever. Grotesquely overpaid and underperforming and bringing some highly unpleasant legal issues also. I'll always wonder if they regretted parting ways with Mayfield.

Given his absurd contract Watson is most certainly the worst free agent signing ever.

it was worse than a free agent signing as they game up 3 1's and more to trade for him, then gave him that huge contract . . . thank God little Danny was out of money by then or it might have been us!!!

Wow -- Chiefs trading a 6th to NE for Josh Uche. Good deal for KC.

Also, the picks that Houston got in that trade allowed them to trade up and get Will Anderson right after they got CJ Stroud.

They can't dump him either, not without taking some insane cap hit.

Re: Around the NFL week 8

It's pretty amazing how the Texans used the Watson trade to rebuild and how the Bears used the Bryce Young pick by the Panthers to do the same. And even more amazing to see how we've progressed in the absence of some massive thing like that (although the Sweat trade was helpful this last time around). It underscores how sharp our FO is now, and what good coaching can do. Watching DQ and AP celebrate yesterday was pretty awesome -- hard to imagine that ever happening with any of our coaches and GMs since the Gibbs/Bethard, Casserly days.

Re: Around the NFL week 8

I have seen this scenario a few times now and I don't get it. When a team is down 8 they'll go for 2 to try and get it to 6. Why? Is this some nerdy ass analytics nonsense? All this stuff does is lose games. Daboll just tried this and called the dumbest play.

This is the best Russell Wilson has looked in years. He still is a great down field thrower.

Give me Brett Veach over about any gm in football. Dude is amazing and still fairly young also. He's a massive reason for the Chiefs current dynasty.

Starting to wonder when Daboll is getting fired. He is nearing that territory at this point. We may be the team to cause it considering a Commanders victory would push them to 2-7. I do not like playing at the Meadowlands. Still think this will be a game considering our emotional, slugfest with the Bears and Daboll/Jones fighting for their careers. Think it's a matter of when/not if for both of them barring a significant season change.

He is enjoying playing again. He did not look happy at all in Denver. Him and Payton never clicked is an understatement. Players seem to love playing for Tomlin and Arthur Smith is good with offense.
