Here is one for SS.

Who were the biggest assholes you've encountered or worked during your time at ESPN?

I suppose you're interested in people you know of. So if I say that dude in IT that's not quite what you're looking for, is it?

It wouldn't surprise me that the guy in IT is the biggest asshole. Many of them are social retards...lol

I suppose the "on-air" people the public sees would be my question.

Actually the dude is not so much an asshole so much as he just sucks at his job

"On-air" I mean no one is really an ass necessarily. I don't think I ever really found Dan Patrick, Mike Greenberg, Michelle Beadle, Eric Karabell to be the most personable people.

I was only there for a short while before DP left (though I ran into him a surprising amount) but my theory is he suffered from LaVar syndrome. Meaning when someone finally stood up to him and said this is the way it'll be done he didn't take to it well.

Never met Erin

I've got to ask the opposite of this as well. Who are the best people you've encountered there?

(in no particular order): Stephania Bell, Colin Cowherd, Jay Crawford, Barry Melrose, Kevin Negandhi, Mel Kiper, Kordell Stewart (by the way, put Adam Schefter in the other category) have probably been my favorites

I'm sure I'm forgetting several

Mort's a pretty good dude. Pretty interesting personal history (which I won't get into here, but don't worry it's not hing scandalous). Not so much a "hey, how's the family" guy like Kiper but nor is he a "don't bother me. I'm working. And I'm probably too important for you anyway" guy like someone else. I don't think he's the best NFL insider, but he's much more knowledgeable about sports in general than I would have thought. This is total and complete speculation on my part. But sometimes I get the feeling he wouldn't mind trying something new but is kind of pigeonholed where he is. Not that he doesn't love what he's doing.

Jaws is bigger and more beat up than I would have thought. Animated personality. Can be overwhelming in close quarters.

Never really had any lengthy encounter with Gruden
