Re: 2010 Free Agency and CBA Information

In theory wouldn't a lockout cause huge losses and become likely that the players get their way? Or would the players crumble first?

^ With a lockout the players get paid nothing. The owners still get their tv money. So the owners have a lot of leverage.

Owners also have the ability to use their stadiums for other purposes, they'll hold more concerts and other events to drive revenue. Owners are definitely in the driver's seat.

PFT is reporting that a deal with Titans C Kevin Mawae is not expected.

I don't know what type of money he wants and I know that he's old, but maybe worth looking at. He knows the Zone, is about the right size, and can still move.

Check out about :57 seconds into this video and watch the guy run downfield like 30 yards looking for someone to block while Chris Johnson runs.

NFL Game Center: Miami Dolphins at Tennessee Titans - 2009 Week 15

We'll see if they let him go or not, he'll be a UFA

maybe a good mentor to a future C like a draft pick or Edwin Williams

Maybe the idiots need to scale down their operations(hype machine). AS for the economy, hell yeah you won't see any football in 2011, nobody is going to be able to afford to go to a game, or probably won't care since they will be using every moment they are awake trying to survive.
If the government is handing out cheap loans to everyone and their brother it would be stupid to not ask for one.

So the players should make significantly less but is is ok for the owners to make even more money? You are living in an alternate universe if you think the owners of the most popular sport are going to cut prices and ignore revenue streams "for the fan".

The economy isn't nearly as weak as you portray it. There is plenty of disposable income for the NFL owners and players to fight over.

Is he even as good as Rogers right now? From what I have read, Cromartie is a locker room cancer. Rogers did get frustrated and has spouted off some but doesn't have any substantial baggage.

Both Rogers and Cromartie stink, although I think Rogers is slightly better.

I doubt that you will not see football in 2011. You may see "replacement players" wearing NFL uniforms, but I think you will see football.

Hell no! I'd want at least 2 first round picks thrown in for Rogers too...

You always were a wuss. Asking for less then 4 first round picks let alone 3 clearly displays your lack of manhood. Pfffft, and you call yourself a trade master.

Anyway I've had it, you're out of the guild.
