Re: Goodbye Michael Scott

If Ricky Gervais is the new boss (loved his cameo earlier in the season), this show can be even funnier... the UK Office is still my fave.

Tonight had better be great! You'd have to think that the writer's would realize their first few post-Michael episodes need to be really strong so that people don't just assume the show is going to suck without him. I have faith that they'll get it right.

If this week in sports has taught me anything it's "faith is overrated."

Re: Goodbye Michael Scott

It's just not the same without Michael right now. It's going to take some time to get used to and they need to get someone in there worth watching. DeAngelo isn't cutting it and he's clearly on the way out anyway.

Re: Goodbye Michael Scott

It was definitely weird knowing that we won't be seeing Michael Scott anymore. Overall, I actually thought the episode was pretty funny considering...

Re: Goodbye Michael Scott

Who ever it ends up being, I just hope that they bring back James Spader's character every once in awhile. I don't think he would be great as a regular cast member but his scenes last night absolutely killed me. "Everything is sex."

Hey Art Monk I agree with you on that. I forgot how good James Spader was, that was pretty damn good. I wish they showed Jim Carey's interview though ! That accent was pretty funny. I died when Dwight came in as a burn victim, I mean I was in tears !

Re: Goodbye Michael Scott

I've read a few things that say that could be the case, or Spader.

I'm gonna say Andy gets it, and there will be a couple of new cast members to take his position and Gabe's spot due to his transfer.

Spader will return as the CEO of Dunder Mifflin

Honestly, I don't really even watch the show so no, it's not my prediction.

Every morning I get an entertainment industry email (since we're part of Disney) about executive movies, tv pilot possibilities, casting news, etc. So anyhow, email I got earlier this week said that James Spader is in final negotiations to return to The Office as the CEO of Dunder Mifflin. So I guess it's not official yet, but that's the latest scuttlebutt.

Re: Goodbye Michael Scott

Sounds like he's taking Kathy Bates role, not Steve Carell's.

Right. That's the CEO role right?
