Sounds like keeping off weight is going to be an issue, reminds me of BMW..
He caved real fast into the proper and good habits for taking care of his body
after mere teasing. A hardass pushing him would have even better results.

Well, he didn't become a team captain because his teammates were impressed with his ability to devour portion after portion of food. lol

Actually.. his teammates were impressed with how he could devour food.

Le Rib-eye..

On how he gained the weight in the first place ...

Quote:
“Josh, he’s a kitchen! He eats up everything in sight,” Robinson said of the 6-foot-3, 312-pound LeRibeus. “He’s a real funny guy. And he’s real big into video games. … On the field, he’s a real strong dude. If he gets his hands on you, he’s going to move you wherever he wants you to go.”

LeRibeus missed the 2010 season because he was deemed academically ineligible after switching majors, and his weight ballooned to 70 pounds over his playing weight. Robinson, who continued to train at SMU last summer said he saw LeRibeus exhibit great dedication as he worked to get back in shape and regain his starting job in 2011

No real news, every lineman at 300-400 lbs can eat. Glad he's on our team and I'll buy him a rib-eye myself if he can nail down a starting job by next year.. Hope he keeps in shape.

Nice to know, but note that I didn't say that "he could not eat a lot".

His appetite remains to have no apparent bearing on him being named a captain.

Uh, guys. I think I want a LeRibeus jersey. I'm a big guy and I've always represented the OL and DLs.

Then you should have waited and gone with LeRibeous instead of RGIII as your screen name.

He's been working out as a Center to be Montgomery's successor/competition.

After suffering with Rabach so many years, it's great to have some talent at the position now.

Indeed. I believe a read a quote from one of the coaches where LeRibeus looked like a legit center after just one day. Starting to really like this kid...and (fingers crossed) kudos to the FO for another solid draft.

Yeah sounds like they're going to work him at center. It would be nice to have a center that's strong and can hold his own at the point. Monty is ok, but much like Rabach he can be overpowered.

Highlights show a bit o nasty from Josh too, which is awesome IMO. We haven't had an olineman w/ a nasty side since Randy Thomas...much overdue.

A nasty Center and a QB with some swagger.

Re: Josh LeRibeus pick 3.8

I've fairly given up on Trent Williams being a leader on offense, let along the oline, for the time-being. I wonder if LeRibeus can grow into that role within a season?!
