He's not passable at OG even for a short stint and most of our other interior OL can play center: Chester, Lichtensteiger, LeRib, Gettis
That's an interesting take on Monty and probably not a bad idea.

These guys have the Skins O-line ranked 10th in the league, i thought the O-line was not real good last year but i love lists!!!! Eli was sacked the most but got the ring.

10th in run blocking (the ZBS certainly helps the OL as a unit play better then the indiviual lineman)
15th in pass protection

Let's hope Jamaal Brown holds up this year. He's due to have a good year. After trading a 3rd round pick for him two years ago, he's due for a solid season.

Really interesting numbers. At the end they break down success per location of run play, and percentage of runs at each spot. Interesting numbers throughout, especially that we were #2 at rushing up the middle. Pretty good stuff.

Undrafted rookie CB Chase Minnifield (knee) will reportedly open training camp on the active/PUP list.

Although Minnifield underwent microfracture surgery over the winter, this still comes as a bit of surprise in that the former Virginia star shined while participating fully in June minicamp. The Redskins are building in roster flexibility with the option to leave Minnifield on reserve/PUP for the first six games. RB Tristan Davis (undisclosed) is also expected to open camp on the PUP list.

You know, by the sound of it, it sounds like the Redskins are pretty much saying that Minnifield will make the roster, if they want to treat him by putting him on the PUP list.

Is Minnifield being moved to OL?

my question with those numbers, if we were so great in the middle, why were our percentages so low going to it? Draws, pitch and cuts? We have zero power game in the middle...I think the numbers prop up the oline nicely, but not buying it.

Ha, clicked on the wrong thread, meant to be in the "Open Competitions" thread.

It looks like we tried to spread the ball to the ends more than most teams. I am sure others can look at the numbers and align them to the reality, but overall, I think our line was better than most fans perception of it, and that given another year of familiarity, they will not be seen as our top weakness. (Safeties probably will claim that)

Not to continue a conversation meant for another thread, but they also put Tristan Davis of the PUP list and I'm not really sure he will end up being kept...

I agree.
We almost never run inside the OGs and I would wager the statistical success isn't but rather combination of the ZBS+RB vision produced cutback lanes.
I was saying before the statistical success of our OL is a result of the ZBS.
