Here is some related news to the Harris bid: https://www.hogshaven.com/2023/3/20/...elayed-payouts

Magic Johnson joins bid. Also Commanders push off payout date for signing bonuses for two months to 5/12. Typically this is done 15-30 days of transaction date.

When we know, we'll know, and not from some twitter account that was created last month.

This is totally thinking outside of the box but I wonder if the Lamar situation is held up by the Commanders sale

I don't think LJ is the right move but if you wanted to excited a fan base and get asses in seats your first year of ownership that be a big fucking splash.

If Ron and co are on board and the new owner gives the green light, go for it

if you spend on LJ you have to have the notion he has a high probability of injury, thus you need guys that can step in (JB and SH)

LJ has never had a offense at least from a WR prospective as ours it be very interesting to see.

Add LJ, continue shoring up the O line, new owner and our current D; that is a pretty exciting team.

With the stink of Snyder gone and a legit QB in LJ man, FedEx would be rocking week 1

I don't buy the idea of the Ravens letting him get away to come to DC though

you have to give him Watson money and ravens the two picks

they won't pay him Watson money (rightfully so)

I like Howell but he isn't Lamar, that dude is a FREAK athlete that has never had a true WR group to work with.

Re: Josh Harris = New Owner!?

You guys are cute with your thinking we can fit Lamar under our salary cap. Currently we have $3M available.

I agree Jackson isn't coming here, but if they wanted to make it happen, a few restructures, a few cuts, some creative accounting, and it could happen. But I'm 99.999% sure it won't.

New Orleans has been making miracles with their cap for the past 10 years it seems. If a team wants to make it happen, they'll find a way.

Ask the Rams how finding a way is going for them this year, or ask the Eagles what it's like to lose 9 contributing players this offseason.

Could it be worth it if you think he gets you over the hump? Sure, hell the Rams won a SB and the Eagles were just in one.

But they're the proof that it comes at a cost later on. You can borrow from future years when managing the cap, but you can't ignore it.
