re: Fred Davis Done for Season. Welcome Back Cooley

I wanted Cooley on the team at the start of the season, but at this point just can't see bringing in a TE who hasn't been on a roster for the whole season. Like someone else said, lets scour practice squads and find a guy out there, unless he's on ours already

If Cooley is healthy and in shape, I take him back. Doesn't matter whether or not he's used, we need to have depth in case Paulsen or Paul gets injured. Paulsen looked good today but Paul has been underwhelming.

True, but really what else is there out there?

Not sure you can put all of this on the training staff. These injuries are part of the game, as sucky as it is. TV does not do this game justice. The speed and violence of the game is pretty insane. If you ever get a chance to stand on the sideline up close and personal it is amazing that some of these guys get back up.
It's just been a problem for years. I mean when I see stuff like Laron suddenly being healthy in New York it makes me wonder whats going on here. It also puts Larons rage quote in perspective.

Quote:
“That’s why they have great doctors and they have okay doctors, great trainers and okay trainers,” Landry said. “(The Redskins) had people who just had the job title, but not the passion for their job. . . . I don’t respect the training staff at all. I don’t respect the coaches over there. I don’t respect (Shanahan). I do respect Coach (Joe) Gibbs, who brought me there, and Coach Gregg Williams. I respect that 2007 organization. After 2007. . . . nonexistent.”
Granted it should be taken with a grain of salt but I've seen to many key injuries over the past few years to not at least be suspicious. Also if I recall correctly Laron isn't the first one to take a shot at the Redskins training staff.

You're so shallow. Fat players need jobs to.

May not be a bad idea to bring Cooley back. He would be hungry and would probably play well for the rest of the season. He's a Redskin thru and thru, rested, and wants to play. Cant hurt at this point.

People around here need to let go of CC. He can't run anymore.

You could make a pretty impressive Niles Paul lowlight reel from this game.

Cooley doesn't really fit what we need in a TE anyway. That's why he's not here at the moment.

Cooley knows the system and can step right in, this makes the most sense.

The Redskins aren't going to re-sign Cooley unless it's for the veteran minimum or slightly more. His 3.5 million salary was probably the main reason why he was released. Logan Paulsen is the TE who should have been cut.

Logan Pausen did fine we dont need cooley. Much rather sign Bob Sanders to replace Mediu Williams than sign cooley . Our D is horrible.

He is our second best TE (now our best)

Bob Sanders? Is this the year 2005? Lol. I thought he retired after all those injuries. And by the time he learned the playbook it'd probably be too late for him to make an impact too.
