Re: Walking Dead Season 5

Surprised no one talked about last weeks episode, that was maybe only the second time I literally talked out loud to the TV saying things like "No! This can't happen.." This episode had two super gruesome deaths, but the last one with Glenn having to watch was brutal. Curious to see how the town reacts tonight.

Shane territory... That's an interesting take. I honestly don't know what to think. Mostly I'm right with him...the dude is beating his wife and everyone's like...it's really not a big deal...including her! I think he needs Daryl back. And fast!

I don't disagree with his message at all, he's right. But so was Shane. I'm specifically talking about the barn scene (the Sophia saga) where everyone was like, "they're still people! Maybe we can save them!" And Shane was basically like, "you guys are f'ing idiots."

They were both right, just the way they presented it made them look like crazy assholes to the nth degree.

This show never ceases to amaze me. Every time I begin to think the show is getting a little stagnant or predictable, they make a left turn and step it up a notch!! I mean...who would've thought Michonne would've coldcocked Rick like that??!!

Re: Walking Dead Season 5

the direction of the show sucks. I'm not sure why I'm still watching.

I don't understand why they break down he show into 3 or 4 stories when the seasons are only 8 episodes. Do they really need to spend half the season on the sissy boy eugene and big red guy?
Why don't they ever interact with Rick, Carol and Daryl?

they way they handled domestic violence was terrible.
Rick asking the lady to leave was stupid. Where the F is she going to go? maybe if she goes two blocks over he will never find her.
they needed to take his ass out back and beat him down. Not just Rick but all the guys.

I gave up earlier this season. Too many other better shows out there, I feel like I'm wasting an hour of my life anytime I watch TWD now.

The Walking Dead has Sons of Anarchy syndrome: Start out strong and end with a fizz.

But I do think TWD has gotten worlds better since Frank Darabont left (the guy responsible for wasting a whole season looking for Sophia)

For people that don't follow the comic, I guess the show is going to be too leftfield, but how it went down on the show (with some artistic changes, of course) is how it went down in the comics as well.

Yeah at least with SOA you knew it was moving towards a conclusion. TWD is just wandering around aimlessly. I gave up on the books after a while too.

I think this show has one more passable season left after this one. The 7th season should probably be the last one, especially since they have a spinoff show airing soon.

So... That finale was pretty f'ing good, I gotta say.

And the introduction to The Wolves.

Since you've read the books, maybe you're of the same mindset but every time something feels like it's directly from the books I get excited, but then new stuff pops up and I feel like the curveballs are 50/50 for if they work?
Overall I dug the finale, got worried about a certain character that went into the woods at one point, but I have a feeling next season will be brutal.

Re: Walking Dead Season 5

Anyone on here still watching TWD? The last several episodes of season 6 have been pretty damn good.

Although I was disappointed with Denise biting the dust just because it means goodbye to Merrit Wever. She did a great job, her and Daryl especially worked well together. Now Eugene, there would have been a satisfactory death. His character is the worst on the whole show, just terrible..
