Re: 7-5 Post-Game Thread

Redskins have paid Carson Wentz $14MM per victory this season and has had two wins and four losses. Heinicke has been paid $3M this season, $600,000 per victory, and has had 5 wins and one loss.

He may not be the future, and assuredly makes some boneheaded plays, but is there a greater value at this position in the league?

***And you Karens are still not freaking happy! Enjoy your crappy wine with your faux friends that secretly hate you while bitching about the face of 2023 season ticket sales not winning in the way that your gal pals at the weekly Bunko game think he should. Freaking ingrates! That is for you, Punch It In. Smitty won't be coached by anyone on this forum and torches your olive branch!

Without a doubt, 2-4 vs 5-1, they started winning after Wentz was benched.

They started winning when BR got back and our D started clicking also. Would I rather have Taylor than Wentz … a resounding yes. Wentz would need an amazing o line to ever find any sustained success again. He cant move and crumbles under pressure. Taylor is able to move in the pocket. What we need is a guy who can move in the pocket and drop dimes but like I said as long as our run game and D continue at this level of play let Taylor be Taylor.

We started winning after:

WJ3 was traded, St. Juste took over for him
BRob came back
TH started
Larsen replaced Martin
Forrest starting

Wasn’t Curl out some at the beginning too?

We always knew the DL holds the talent on this team, but once the secondary kinda formed this shield of St. Juste, Curl, Forrest, McClain & Fuller, that when everything kinda clicked. Much like the front work in unison to pass rush and stop the run, guys in the back are working together to cover the pass and support the run defense. It is more the sum of parts cause you cover more ground, but they are really working together back there.

Wentz was a mess. He needs the 91 line in front of him in order to be functional.

Even if he had the 91 line, he would over throw and make worse decisions than TH.

SF I think if you saw Wentz on the street you'd probably yell an obscenity at him..lol.

I put part of his issues on Scott. Seems to me that once TH got in there Scott started running the kind of offense we should have been running all along.

This is a little less aggressive and more thought out than last weeks post. Lol. Certainly good value and would certainly welcome him as our backup if and when we ever find the guy.

Right now though I could care less though because our D and our run game is really clicking. Taylor has to just be Taylor and not try to be someone else. I would love to see him run sometimes when he has the opportunity instead of trying too hard to make the throw. Teams have had great success in the past with average quarterback play because the quarterback knew his job.

I love that wentz is costing us money ; it’s Dan’s money ; I am sure he is salty over dropping $28 M on CW

Dan is the one who said in the offseason "We got a qb now" referring to Wentz. Yes Dan one that won minimal games and was on the bench most of the year.

In 20 years of ownership how many times did he say that? He obviously doesn’t know shit about QB’s. McNabb, Jeff George, Alex
Smith, Wentz, RGIII, Haskins, etc.

Alex Smith was good. even with the exploded leg he was 11-7. We're just snakebit. Before that Dan's biggest mistake was not attempting to get Drew Brees. Before that letting Trent Green walk.

And drafting a bunch of guys that never panned out (Patrick Ramsey was a Snyder pick, and RGIII was too). Kirk was/is good, but he never had any intention of staying here, despite what he may have said to the press.

Forrest been a real plus. Definitely did not see him being a breakout guy this year.
