Re: Looking at the draft.
We will see if Dan has learned. We are very close to the Zorn/Cerrato moment. Dan can either fire BA, bring in a GM and let him hire a true HC. OR BA stays, we bring in a Zorn equivalent, and a year from now we have banners being banned again.

Re: Looking at the draft.
I didn't say Snyder should fire Bruce Allen. He could let Bruce continue to win off the field - and only off the field - as President of Administration, or something.

If we don't keep Cousins I wouldn't be against picking him.

Re: Looking at the draft.
I think he could be a RW type QB, I wouldn't mind taking him either.

Re: Looking at the draft.
As much as Bruce rubs me the wrong way, aside from the mishandling of Cousins (which is huge but maybe a Snyder dictate), I think we have done okay with player acquisition, cap and contracts.
Snagged prime time FAs in Desean and Norman when other teams were in the hunt. Swearinger and Zach Brown have been good. I liked the Pryor signing at the time and give skins credit for only doing a 1 yr show me. I imagine a Vinny would have given him 5 years, 50 M. Cap is in good shape. No big bad contracts on the books. Very little dead cap after this season. How much credit/blame does he get vs Scot or Schaffer? Idk. Contracts given out, I dont think is the problem. Of course, the mess up with Cousins is fireable by itself.

Re: Looking at the draft.
I just can't get into a draft thread in December. The draft is 5 months away.

Re: Looking at the draft.
Jay Gruden on Kirk Cousins, "He was not quite as accurate as he has been. Everyone who has seen Kirk play in his three years, knows he missed throws he normally makes."
It's comments like this that make u really wonder if Kirk has hit his ceiling and maybe we should look at a QB?

Re: Looking at the draft.
As a Skins fan, its draft season the day after the draft ends. Of course the whole conversation really can't begin until after the franchise tag deadline expires.

So no, I don't agree that Allen has done enough to stay. He needs to be shown the door first IMO!

Re: Looking at the draft.
Hell I am hard to agree with that because I hate not having a QB

Re: Looking at the draft.
When I see Minnesota rolling w/ Keenum it makes me think that paying Cousins 27-30 million isn't worth it. But we have enough games of Cousins to know he's pretty good, not the case yesterday. He did stink. I'd prefer that we put the trans tag on him, set the market and make a decision. If he leaves then go w/ Colt and draft a guy. But that means you're setting your team back cause you're creating a need, you're drafting a QB high because you don't want to pay your current starter and that pick could be someone on defense. IDK, the decision on KC is a real tough one.

Re: Looking at the draft.
Kirk made a great play getting away from pressure and throwing a td but that INT was backup QB like and he does that too often
