Re: Falcons post game thread
I'm undecided on EB, and i can't help thinking, is he calling too many pass plays because?:
1) We can't run (OL). Not sure I wholly believe this. 2) We are playing from behind too much. I'd say only true of Bills and Bears games. Or 3) Because SH takes too many sacks so we're in too many X and long situations. I'm inclined to believe a bit of 1, and a lot of 3. But maybe its a self fulfilling prophecy; we pass too much so we're to often in must pass situations. |

Re: Falcons post game thread
Terrible news about Leno. Lucas was more than solid filling in.
After 6 games I think we have a good look at EB. His offense sucks for us. He could help out his QB a ton if he just got under center and called some downhill runs. He actually did it w/ Rodriguez. Then run some hard play action off of it to slow down the rush. It's ok to be basic sometimes. Play action from gun is totally useless. No one respects it. I wonder how much yardage a game we lose from all these sacks? It was fine today cause Atl has an incompetent coach/ QB. I think almost every time Del Rio blitzed good things happened. |

Re: Falcons post game thread
Oh I agree with that, but deep down, I think we all know none of our RBs are your standard HR threat.

I think B Rob could be. I absolutely do. Just like any other back he needs 20-25 carries. You cannot give a guy 10 carries a game and expect a home run. I think that with a better line, and EB incorporating him more he could absolutely be that guy. |

Talking with coworkers, B Rob is great and has a place on the team, but we need faster with play making ability RB. Not satisfied with that room on the team.

Re: Falcons post game thread
Toohill shining, Allen and Payne both had some real solid plays today too.
This D can be real good at times, it would be nice if they could play 60 minutes and not disappear for several drives a game, would also help if they didn't have an Achilles heel in the middle of the field. Nice INT too seal the game by Jamin Davis though. I think we know who we are. We gonna lose to good teams, beat bad teams, and every now and then we'll have typical Ron coached team flukish wins and losses. Envoyé de mon SHV48 en utilisant Tapatalk

Re: Falcons post game thread
Was interested to see that, aside from the Buffalo game which was obviously awful, Howell has a 9:2 TD:INT ratio in the five other games. Most QBs when they are getting sacked /pressured as much as he is will, like Ridder did, throw it up for grabs. I often hear people say the QB should just take the sack and move on, and while it would be good for him to be getting rid of the ball, the sacks aren't shaking his composure as they would most young QBs

Starting to seem like we've got something with Sam. How high his ceiling goes is the next question. He's certainly an upgrade over Heinicke, we know that.
