Re: Can The Redskins go undefeated in the NFC East?

Let's take a long look at the other teams;

1) The Giants: can they really believe how lucky they were last year winning the Super Bowl when they expended so little effort in the regular season with the added humiliation of losing to the Redskins twice? Is it really possible that they are not sitting around this year saying to themselves "Hey, we don't really have to crank it up before the playoffs"? No matter what Coughlin preaches, there has to be that slight smirk on the players faces that promises to win it all in the end in spite of marginal play early on.

2) The Eagles: With the personal off-the-field problems that Reid has dealt with and added to that an old, slow, confused quarterback who talks a lot and says nothing that anybody comprehends I would not be surprised if Lurie sacks Andy before he can quit. Then the whole place gets a new broom and new faces. A long road that.

3) Cowboys: Jerry keeps dusting the cabinet for a clean place to put his next Lombardi. He has invested lots of cash into a stadium to put the cabinet in and staked his personal player selection reputation on what Dez does and it is not a pretty scenario. Jones is building a monument to himself without spending enough time to assure fans of a wining team before the "Romo Window closes". Was it ever open except in Jerry's mind?

4) Redskins: Supremely competent General Manager, messianic dedicated and driven coaching staff, decision making oriented towards team improvement, excellent risk/reward management and wildly supportive fans. Plan is in place now execute consistently and victory will be ours.

Ponder this.

But can the Redskins go 6-0 versus the NFC East this year. We played Dallas close last year in two games. We beat the NYG twice last year and we played the Eagles tough with average players last year. Now we have the players we need to succeed on both sides of the ball. How do we match up against the rest of the NFC East and are we cable of beating each opponent two times? I know it's a tall order, but I firmly believe that this Redskins team is capable.
I think you need to listen to the elder Shanahan cause you're getting carried away.

Heretic. Colt Brennan is the only messiah.

Re: Can The Redskins go undefeated in the NFC East?

The Skins have had perhaps one winning NFC East record in the last 20+ seasons (2005). They will not go undefeated in the division, still too many holes on this team.
