Smith is still a notch better than Moss in my book, but it's not a big notch. Moss is right there. I think Smith's "attitude" is being taken a bit out of context. The guy was obviously frustrated, but I don't think he's like TO for example who gets frustrated when he doesn't get the ball, I think Smith was frustrated because his offense was struggling and they were losing... big difference. |

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?
I don't mind players getting frustrated but smith has anger issues. That has no place on the offensive side of the ball. He has been this way all year but things aren't gonna show until you lose. He is a great player but his attitude is in question. He also is extremely cocky even for a WR. Santana Moss seems so happy to be having a great season with opportunities that he feels blessed and doesn't act cocky. Santana's celebrations consist of him spinning the ball on the ground and that is it. I wouldn't take anyone over moss right now. He needs a great number two and this team will be completely unstopable.

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?
Its a coin-flip talent wise. But who wants to watch Big Baby throw a fit every time things don't go well. I like the way Moss carries himself. He's intense without looking foolish. I also like the fact that he gave those two turban guys face time after the big score against the Giants. It makes our fanbase seem very cosmopolitan.

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?
I'd take either...Moss is probably a little faster/quicker, and Smith is hands down STRONGER....but I just think Panthers Offense was just executed better for Smith then ours was fro Moss...That's why i can't wait to see what Saunders does with a WR like Moss and Cooley and Portis...We saw what he could to with a RB and TE, now he has a WR option also....I also think he will help get JC's arm on the field to run his offense sooner then later...

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?
Both Moss and Smith are pro bowlers. Both great players. I do think I'd go with Moss cause he isn't as cocky on the field. Moss is a big hearted player like Smith and both have been penalized for questioning authority this season. Today Smith's behavior on the sideline was ridiculous, but it did NOT affect the on field play. He came right back and return a punt for a TD. Don't wanna see Moss return punts unless its an emergency, just like I don't wanna see Antonio Brown with the Redskins next season.

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?
when i look at both these guys, they are almost carbon copies, talent wise.im just glad we have one of them.and about smith having better talent besides him,i would take thrash over their other receivers, which is saying alot because i think thrash is worthless on offense

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?
there are games where smith smith totally dissappears, moss is more consistant, but less likely to have 200 yard days do to scheme etc.

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?
Smith went over 100 yards in 10 games this year and in two of those he topped 200. Keep in mind Smith did all this without the benefit of a Chris Cooley too, the next closest player in receptions on the Panthers was Foster with 34 catches.
Moss went over 100 yards 6 times in comparison. |

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?
i would rather have santana moss not just because he is on the skins but he hasn't been injured before and it wouldn't effect him

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?
Well, for all of you guys that are in love with S.Smith. How did he do when someone decided to roll the coverage to him the way they did Santana all year. For my money I would rather have Moss. Smith also had a QB that would make a bad decision with the ball, but it gave Smith a chance to make the play. Santana had a QB that would not force the ball. There were a lot of times this year that Santana probably would have made the play if given a chance.

Re: Steve Smith Or Santana Moss?
Nobody played Moss as tough as the Seahawks played Smith yesterday. They had 2-3 guys on him every play.
Jerry Rice in his prime would have struggled yesterday. |

Delhomme is a cajun queer. He's horrible. Brunell is MUCH better. Wait till we get our dirtbags back all healthy, and some time for Brunell to throw. Plus with Saunders? Watch. Brunell is going to surprise a lot of people.
