Re: WR- Mike Williams

I wanted us to draft him and I was WRONG. We have at least 4 guys who are better players than him right now. No need to spend the money or roster space when we could use it for depth at bigger need positions.

And a bit of a note: Several scouts on various radio shows have mentioned that they don't think he is overweight. Rather he is at his normal playing weight and he is just a big thick guy. Supposedly many scouts felt he had (over)shed a lot of weight prior to the draft to look skinnier and be a little faster even though it was not a permamnet weight loss. To paraphrase. "He ain't fat, he's big boned."

nice chef Tell metaphor. I always liked MW but I didn't think he was better than rogers for what we needed.
I bet Martz doesn't like him even if he was fit. The knock on him before the draft was his lack of speed. Remember him "betting the farm" that he would run his 40 in 4.5 I think? well he lost the farm, now he's eating it!

no one cuts a #1 draft pick after 1 year unless there are major issues.

I could have sworn you wrote release him like we did with jacobs. Could have been the case of the missing comma.

Re: WR- Mike Williams

I think I was the most die-hard BMW supporter... I just saw two full seasons of all out domination by a guy who basically carried the SC offense in the crunch. I seriously thought he could do the same thing in the NFL, considering he had lined up across names like Terence Newman, Carlos Rogers and Marlin Jackson during his college career...

I didn't account for attitude... and if he can't adjust to a normal work ethic for the NFL, he's not going to come close to the greatness I predicted.

Re: WR- Mike Williams

id only pick him up to try and turn him into a h-back (even though we dont use it anymore) or a pass catching tight end.

I'd expect Dallas to give a look into that.
