Re: 7-5 Post-Game Thread
I like Forrest. He looks and acts like he belongs out there.

We always knew the DL holds the talent on this team, but once the secondary kinda formed this shield of St. Juste, Curl, Forrest, McClain & Fuller, that when everything kinda clicked. Much like the front work in unison to pass rush and stop the run, guys in the back are working together to cover the pass and support the run defense. It is more the sum of parts cause you cover more ground, but they are really working together back there.

Re: 7-5 Post-Game Thread
Well I would disagree with that. If the team makes the playoffs then how is he not a playoff QB? lol

Re: 7-5 Post-Game Thread
Even if he had the 91 line, he would over throw and make worse decisions than TH.

Re: 7-5 Post-Game Thread
Have we ever had 2 games in a row versus the same team during the regular season (will the Giant games be the first time)?

I would say we needed a dominating MLB and CB depth to round out this current D. Re-sign Payne and fix LB and we could be a top D for 3-4 years. Pity we haven't found a QB to leverage the D and all these O weapons. I really want to see what Howell can do so we hopefully don't have to go QB in the draft again, especially with the capital Wentz cost. For now though we have to roll with TH and see where he takes us. TH can get us into the playoffs, and after that who knows. But this off-season we really have to solidify the QB position and not around an ageing/2nd rate vet. Virtually every other piece is in place. |

Re: 7-5 Post-Game Thread
I love, I mean freakin LOVE, that kind of football ! That kind of W !
Loved the physicality, I love our Oline, no pro-bowlers in there, but the unit has been playing well, better than pff says in my not so educated but not so humble either opinion. That game was won in the trenches on both sides of the ball for us ! Also loved seeing our receivers making some solid blocks ! McLaurin, Brown and Samuel all had very good blocks on key runs ! I think this game highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of that defense: our DL is awesome, I think our secondary is young and promising, but our LB squad sucks, even with an improved Jamin Davis, and it showed with how easily they ran it on us, especially outside the box, we lack speed at LB.

Re: 7-5 Post-Game Thread
I also find interesting how this coaching staff has been doing a good job rotating injured-ish Olinemen. Lucas and Cosmi at RT for a few weeks, Turner and Charles at RG when the former is a bit banged up. It's quite rare to see some sort of established rotation at OL, and it's been working quite well.
