He's always been good for us in September, October and the first half of November, but as soon as things start to matter later in the season, he misses. Not that today really "matters" per say, but hell, you can't tell me theres not someone out there that wouldnt miss these chip shots at the end of games. I'll take Novak back.
He's still 18 of 21 on the year. You're simply not going to find a guy off the street that can come in and top that.

He WAS kicking in the UFL. He's worth a look should we decide to test drive some kickers.

re: Better kickers available?

Well, Tony Dungy just said he'd cut Suisham. That's good enough for me.

suisham should have been cut last season but instead the redskins just blamed all of his missed kicks on the holder.

Honestly though (and I just feel like you and I are probaboly just going to agree to disagree on this ), can this guy be any worse in the clutch? I mean really, I just feel like everytime there is a big kick (dosent need to be a game winner, but just a big kick in a game, specifically late in the season, that can really make a difference in the game), that he is just missing them. I just want someone who will make those kicks. He can be perfect all season long in meaningless kicks, but I just want someone in here who will make kicks when it matters... and if you look at my older posts, this isnt me just going nuts after a loss, I was saying the same thing when he was perfect. Everyone was really happy with Suisham and I said, "yes he's having a great year, but lets see what happens down the stretch because he ussually declines", and thats whats happening now... Its just my opinion though, and there might not be someone off the street that can replace him...but I think that needs to be a position that needs a serious look in the offseason.

The Redskins defense gave up ten points after Suisham missed that kick. I really can't diss the guy because he has beeen a reliable kicker the majority of the season. He won the Rams game by himself, and was instrumental in winning the Bucks game. I doubt there are any better kickers walking the street at this point in the season. Suisham was not the reason we lost today, blame for this loss spreads throughout the team.
