Yeah the Bucs were how far under the cap and didnt get Gruden any help with the offense? Other than C.Williams i cant name one.
This guy won in Oakland,he can win here. he was a tuck rule away from the SB.

If he can win with Al Davis as owner, he would fit in here just fine. Just hope Bruce Allen comes along with the package.

By that same logic he built a Super Bowl team in Oakland, only to be replaced by Callahan.

Dungy...absolutely. Gruden, certainly. Maybe even cowher...the rest can sit.

What about Holmgren, he is the most accomplished of the bunch aside from Parcells, who I believe is not available. He would also have most of his coaching staff in place so there would be less of a learning curve for the players.

Is Jack Pardee still alive?
He was average....that would be a huge upgrade and he probably knows a lot about bingo

All 3 would be great J, but without a change in management any acquisition of one of the above three names would almost be a moot point, or a waste of money.

Re: Our next coach??

Right now, Gruden would be the man. He is relatively young, energetic, seems like he really wants to get back on the sidelines also. Billick would be my second choice. I like Holmgren, but I don't go for the WCO at all. Not Skins type of ball or NFC East for that matter. Dungy rules, but my bet is he stays put for awhile. He doesn't seem to be itching to get back so soon, like Cowher.

Re: Our next coach??

i was watching inside the nfl and the had mike lombardi on talking about coaches and gms and he said some thing interesting. he said that a coach like shanahan would be a nice draw because he is currently getting paid by the broncos so the team that picks him up wouldn't have to pay him as much.

thats not word for word but pretty much what was said, i thought if a new team hired him denver would be off the hook, is this not the case?

Re: Our next coach??

We need a firey coach, one that when a drive fails, will yell like hell at the players and let them know that that wasn't acceptable. So the only coaches I can think of are:

Bill Cowher
John Gruden
Mike Shanahan

The next thing with our head coach is that when I think of Redskins football I think of power running. So who has a power running game to their resume:

Bill Cowher
Mike Shanahan

The next thing we need is a coach who doesn't mind giving up some of his GM duties, because Snyder will want to have a say in things:

Mike Shanahan

(Cowher wants full control of personel duties)

Our next head coach should be, IMO, Mike Shanahan.

Re: Our next coach??

My prayers will be answered if Dan Snyder does the right thing. Bring in a General Manager and let him build the organization from the top all the way down. The GM has the final say on who stays and who goes and Snyder backs his decisions. Every job is up grabs.

Re: Our next coach??

Do not hire a head coach, assistant coach, position coach or waterboy, until a General Manager is in place.

I absolutely agree, if we add the words Savvy or Competent in front of General Manager. Hopefully DS has learned from past mistakes and can make better choices this time.

George Seifert hired as a team president to run the football operations, hire the GM and coaching staff.
