I thought that Campbell's passes in this game all were good decisions.
1st Pass: Thomas should have caught the ball or pass interference should have been called.
2nd Pass: Ball to Thrash, while a little underthrown was put in a place where only Thrash could catch it. Could have been caught.
3rd Pass: Cooley dropped it
4th Pass: Short three yard pass to Mann. With the rush coming he got the ball out quickly which is his main problem.

When Colt can repeatedly lead a charge downfield and score against a first string defense then I'll get excited about him.

On the 1st pass Thomas wasnt the primary receiver, Cooley was.

JC never seems to hit players in stride. The ball is high, low, or behind but never in stride.

..and always way too strong.. he doesn't need to kill them with it, just get it to them. No finesse.

^^ glad u brought that up b/c it sure did look like cooley was his 1st option but JC didnt want to pull the trigger b/c there were 2 guys around him but then he goes to thomas who had a guy all over him and tries to squeeze a real rocket in there . . .

i think JC will be good this year, i hope he is great!

go skins!

Re: Redskins vs. Jaguars Thread

I missed most of the game (at HS football game, got it DVR'd though), but when Colt was in the last few minutes, they showed a replay of one of his passes and Madden broke down his awful mechanics. Also, in an interview I saw with Zorn a couple of weeks ago he mentioned that if Colt couldn't make the changes Zorn needed he wouldn't be able to "make a large percentage of NFL throws". I don't think Zorn will have any problem to cut Colt if he doesn't show improvement going into next season.

I can't wait until the season starts and we don't have to listen to the Colt-hoopla for a while. I'm sick of it too.

Pre season is over with. Thank god. Enough of this JC bashing when the guy throws 4 freakin passes. The real games start now so let's start judging the guy off a full game with a game plan.

Ditto. I do think he'll be a starter in this league eventually, I just don't know if it will be for the B & G.

Re: Redskins vs. Jaguars Thread

ignorance? how many qbs have we passed by?? Ramsey, ferrotte, green, brad johnson, sage rosenfels.
Im just saying cut the kid a break..no more old man collins is our savior talk..no more lets start colt right now talk. (and i love colt)
can you even imagine what it was liek for brunell to have the people of the stands booing him when he was injured and trying to fight it out? im not saying he was the greatest...but still take some pride in your starter and stand up behind him.
YES jason is young and has a ways to go
YES he has looked inconsistent in the past two preseason games
but he is our starter..love him or hate him hes the man. there is no body better out there, on our team, or on the market.

Long way to go. We'll see what happens.

If he proves that he can't play so be it. Gotta give him that chance though.

The one thing I'll never do is boo our starting QB. Never. I might secretly be cursing him in my mind.. but not to his face! HAIL!
