Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
There is one thing we know for sure, Bruce Allen is a liar. This NFL has so many owner/management disasters right now. Probably another reason the Patriots do so well.

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Based on that article, clearly Bruce should be fired. I really wish Danny Snyder would jump off a cliff too.
Also, Chris Cooley is the biggest piece of shit of all time. To purposely smear someone like he did is beyond words and the fact he was an employee of the organize is mind numbing. Folks, the rumor of drinking was a lie put out by the Org because when you didn't make a statement of support to McC you perpetuated it. Silence is consent folks. FACT I fucking hate Bruce Allen. He lied to Scott when he was hired...he told the McC he had all the power in making personnel decisions. HE LIED. Ok so the Cousins situation....Michael Robinson was told last year by Scott McC that Scott had a plan last year to sign Cousins long term. He wanted a deal last year but was over ruled by Bruce and the Org. FACT So we will lose Cousins and McC...we are all ok with this?

McC really has not made any great waves since he was brought here. Honestly I be happy with BA and just be done with McC. Everyone needs to remember McC was marketed to us as the savior indirectly by DS; you are still drinking DS's kool aid about McC if you are backing McC. Christ DS even poured out the pitcher of kool aid and some of you are lapping it of the floor. McC has had history of not being wanted even when he has been super efficient at as his job. History repeats itself and zebra's don't change their stripes. McC is so much of a cancer that it overshadows his great abilities. Good bye McC and thanks for wasting our #1 pic last year; FAWKER. Good article on the whole disaster: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.8a00db09706c

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Our handling of McC will hurt this franchise across the league because Scott is tight with a lot of players. He is certainly a "Players" type FO football person. Bruce handling of Scott has once again damaged our reputation.
We will have to pay more to attract players and will lose a lot of contracts of folks deciding between places.

CLE, WAS, etc...they are the NFL's Last Chance Saloons. I would be shocked if someone went and got McC after his firing; if they do it will be as a scout or head of scouts role, he won't be a GM again.

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
His drinking lead to his firings before...this time it was absolutely not the reason. BUT as an organization they put someone on the radio to speculate it was.
Your right, we don't need him. We are better off...

Most folks had Doctson as the top WR in the draft and with Desean and Garcon old and in the last year of their deal....it was 110% a solid pick period.

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Guys, this is coming from a person who like to read instead of posting and frankly I'm getting tired of all negative assumptions. As much as I am nervous about this whole situation (Cousins, Scot, and our FA players) - I know we have to stop making any kind of assumptions based on rumors. In fact, most of information regarding Cousins & 49ers trade are purely speculation; the reporter who first reported the story admitted that it was his own idea and he had a belief that it would happen. As we have seen from recent presidential election, a rumor has knack of rapidly becoming a fact-like; we need to distinguish rumors from facts..
Only "dysfunctional" areas Redskins are experiencing in this offseason is Cousins and Scot - we messed up big time with Cousins, however it looks that way only because we do not have full information. Redskins front office might have known they will encounter this issue, and they are expecting to sign Cousins to multi-years contract but they simply want to wait it out and see which side will break first, after all we cannot forget that the deadline to sign Cousins to a contract is in July, which is few months away. There are few factors that we do not know nor understand. As for our other FA players, Gruden announced they already have plans if we couldn't resign one of our WRs - this shows the front office and coaches are expecting this kind of loss and have a plan to remedy the loss (of course, the question is will the plan work?). As for Scot part, I think this is only area where we messed up big time based on the article by Washington Post. I really hope we will find a way to keep Scot only because of his scouting talents. That said, we need to take a step back and relax, wait for full information to come out and see what happens. By beginning of season this fall - if we lose Scot, Cousins and we did not find any decent players to replace the players we lost then that is when we all can take out our pitchforks and go to Redskins park. |

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
I think you guys are looking at it wrong.
Bruce hired McC because he knew he didn't have the chops when it came to player evaluation. But notice Doug Williams and Jay Gruden sat in all of the interviews at the combine. I feel like some folks are getting it twisted and assuming that Bruce will run the draft board and the draft room. I don't, I think it will be Gruden. Now, nobody has said that yet. But that's how I read it. So either you don't buy that and you hate Bruce, or you don't have faith in Jay? I don't want Bruce running the draft board, but I don't think he will be. I'm good with Jay doing it. This isn't a calamity.

I am still confused what McC has done here to date that is so great...he has hit on some draft picks, missed on some draft pics as well, completely bombed in FA's(outside of Norman which was a gift), and caused drama in the front office. I was excited about his POTENTIAL as much as the other guy but I never really saw it blossom. IMO he did an ok job but some of you act like he was building Seattle II here or something. Honestly either one could leave; BA or him, I don't care which one it will at the very least relive the tension in upper management. Its apparent the two of them can't co-exist.
