saw speed racer, thought it was crap, what threw me was this one scene not too far into the movie where racer X is trying to catch this big semi like truck, and their driving these futuristic cars that do these amazing things, then they start shooting at racer X with tommy guns like from the twenties, that was too cartoonish for me,and it didnt make sense they would be using those types of weapons

Transporter 2 was a movie made for drinking. Everytime something completely unrealistic happens, take a shot. You'll be pissed in the first 10 minutes.

I really hate those over the top action flicks. As a kid I guess they were cool, now they're just dumb.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

Exactly. I'm ok with over the top as long it is plausible in the reality of the film. Like spiderman sticking to walls, batman swinging from the roof. Some limo driver ramping a jet ski from the ocean to the highway and gaining on the car he's chasing... that's a little too much. Also, the fight on the jet was classic cheese.

Speaking of horror, I'm hesitant about Quarantine... I loved the original (Rec) so much, I hope they didn't ruin it.

W doesn't look that interesting at all. I don't like movies like these because they claim to based on reality but they're really based on speculation, hearsay and half truths.

I saw Quarantine on Sunday its pretty Blair Witch + Cloverfield-esque.

The first 20 minutes of movie was freaking pointless and to make a long story short, the entire movie is pretty much seen in the trailer the only thing missing is why the building is quarantined in the first place which, when you find out will make you say, "Really? Another one of these movies?"

I'm pretty much a gore-hag so anything with profuse amounts of gore is right down my alley. In that department the movie delivered (though I wouldn't of minded some more).

Having seen the OG, I can't believe what they put in the trailer...

* Spoiler alert for a freakin' spoiler *

The ending is in the trailer!
